I'm way more careful with hardbacks, but paperbacks...who can read an entire book without breaking the spine? This is why I rarely borrow books from others. lol

Yes, I cherish my books.

I believe this jury came out with the correct verdicts for each defendant. There’s been some media chatter about juries deliberating before a long holiday break, and how that influences verdicts but I think they came to the right conclusions based on the evidence. The video was pretty convicting, imo. Hopefully, this sense of justice will bring some peace to the Arbery family.

Thought it was interesting that the defense went with trying to portray the three defendants as being within their rights as they claimed to be making a “citizen’s arrest.”
More ignorant people opining about things they haven't bothered to keep up with or research. 9_9
Just knee-jerk reactions to a video, sans any context.
I’ve read a bit of the evidence albeit I wasn’t glued to this case. The jury was focused on it though, so do you think it came to the wrong conclusions from the evidence?
Who would call the police before intending to go chase someone down and kill them? Who would even call the police before going to illegally imprison someone?

Now, if these guys had a psych evaluation that determined they were literally insane, I could understand it. Otherwise, we're forced to assume a combination of things no human would do.
I’ve read that the defense attorneys released the video in hopes it would make the defendants “look better,” but instead it just helped make the prosecution’s case much easier to prove murder.
Aside from public defenders, defense attorneys are often whoever the person can afford, and well, you get what you pay for. Even one of the Rittenhouse attorneys wasn't the sharpest. But the video does show that Arbery wasn't shot until he attacked and tried to take the gun. And saying Arbery was "cornered," "blocked," and "cut-off" fives times, while the video shows they didn't have him trapped, belies that Arbery had no other choice but to attack an armed man.

How does anyone watch that video, without leftist media commentary, and not see Arbery literally attacking and trying to take the gun? Anyone who has taken any gun safety/self-defense training knows you do anything to keep someone from getting your gun, as you have no idea if they will turn it on you or other innocent bystanders.
As with Rittenhouse - this looks like another all too predictable consequence of letting idiots have guns - they shoot people.
In the light of Syne's comment - 'they' probably assumed the police would shoot Arbery if they didn't get him first - so (as with Rittenhouse) they were doing the police a favour - whether this is psychopathic insanity or 'The American way' is in the eye of the beholder.
From Arbery's vantage point he was a dead man from the moment the pursuit started.
For Arbery I'd say the outcome was at least 'just' - whether America will see it that way is another matter.

Quit being an utterly ignorant piece of shit. You obviously know nothing of these cases nor US law. So quit being an armchair moron or troll.
No one assumed anyone would be shot, and if they wanted to get to him first, they would not have called the police beforehand, or at all. Pretty simple if you're not a complete idiot.
