Perhaps "Love" is related to "The Borg" that posted years ago in alt.philosophy, a woman who supposedly lived in the UK. She would post tons of eccentric writing often fixating around her namesake, as if she was authoring a book online. On some occasions it could be highly disorganized, like "I missed today's meds" material. This sample was arguably on one of the more coherent or "less trying to be radically avant-garde" days:

The ingenious strategy of the set-up had much deeper goals than that. The incursion on the Capitol now facilitates the thriving conspiracy theory that Trump supporters are potential domestic terrorists. (And perhaps dissidents in general could become suspect, if they encroach upon the Biden/Harris regime.)

Just as the Chinese government rounded-up the Uighurs on those grounds for "re-education" at internment camps, the Dems can erect a similar network of detention centers for Podunk dwellers and hillbillies. Since there isn't enough prison space to house them all, and in the end those rebels will have to be brainwashed programmed for social conformity and assimilation into a proper political culture (i.e., converted into docile sheep).

The tough part, however, is that these people are armed (unlike their counterparts in China). So there are going to be numerous Ruby Ridge situations. The bloodshed and slaughter will be justified, however, since the Establishment cannot afford to have these wannabe insurrectionists and terrorists running amok.

And the corpses can always be replaced by illegal migrants from other countries, who are not only honorary American citizens already but better ones who respect the altruistic efforts and savior role of The Party (in contrast to those born-citizen ingrates).

I didn’t know that Pamala Harris' father, Donald J. Harris was a  prominent Marxist professor at Stanford University, did you, CC?

"Dr. Harris did not respond to requests for comment for this article.

Despite his low profile in the election cycle, Dr. Harris is not an obscure figure. He was the first Black scholar to receive tenure in Stanford’s economics department, and a prominent critic of mainstream economic theory from the left.

The Stanford Daily, reporting in 1976, described him as a "Marxist scholar," and said there was some opposition to granting him tenure because he was too charismatic, a pied piper leading students astray from neo-Classical economics."
lol I’m confused ^^

Off the beaten path, but do any of you spend quiet time in the mornings or whenever ...journaling? It’s really cathartic and sets the tone for the day.

Compared to the average coup attempt it was a tiny little damp squib. Hopefully that will be the end of it. As Syne has repeated many times - the right aren't animals (unlike the the leftists).

I knew she had a background association, but can't recall clearly if I specifically encountered it revolving around her father. While I was being partially facetious with the former posts, I'll venture a little away from that here.

Sympathies along that line are not startling when it comes to the majority of Black academics (certainly there's a centrist and "classical liberal" minority who defy that trend, though). Any population group whose very socio-political identity evolved to address its exploitation (in the past), and thereby cause it to fixate on oppression and adopt a generationally renewing concept of victimhood, will find many of its elites attracted to Marxism or collectivist schools of thought in general. Or at least borrowing from such thought orientations and their tactical templates.

The Bolsheviks of Russia and Maoists of China likewise had no problem recruiting the downtrodden proles and peasants (respectively). The thing with Europeans and Asians, though, is that they're not culturally monolithic -- their working classes can break out of patterns and obsessions. And continental Africans are likewise diverse. That's why they achieve well when immigrating to the US, there's less crab mentality keeping them bound to a narrow sphere of class behaviors, interests, and perspectives.

But there can be idiosyncratic pockets of ANY population group which -- when displaced in other countries -- can culturally implode (inwardly) away from heterogeneity and successful adaptation to their greater socio-economic environments. It doesn't help if they're burdened with group leaders who maintain scapegoats aplenty to provide reasons or receive blame.

They felt like they were merely acting out in a "Jerry Springer Show" situation, so no doubt it's becoming a traumatic shock to them now that their bosses are firing them, they're being pursued by the authorities, and classed as insurrectionists and domestic terrorists.

She denied being a socialist in an interview but her policies, background and video indicate otherwise.

Kamala Harris'-Equality vs. Equity video

When I was younger, I thought that Karl Marx was black. He looks like it, doesn't he? Interestingly, there is some work indicating that Jews have African ancestry.

Was he a racist, though? What do you think?

Apart from exceptions like Bernie, they usually have no choice but to camouflage under progressivism -- the lingering capitalist or quasi-capitalist{*} faction of The Party -- in order to be politically viable on a nationwide basis.

Yep, like many Westerners back then Marx was a "verbal bigot" in everyday situations (which ironically is what today's Left is most sensitized to in opportunistic context, in contrast to actual behavior or deeds of individuals). Left politics of that era was structured around class struggle. It wasn't until circa the 1960s (when parasitic exploitation of that narrow territory dried-up due to the atrocities of socialist countries) that it fully shifted emphasis to wider social injustice revolving around race, sexual orientation, gender, etc. Thus, verbal bigotry with respect to those categories incrementally became a taboo for them (at least in public).

Of course, in the Soviet and Sino strains of Marxism there was far less need of expanded "social justice". Russian men were still extremely sexist when the USSR collapsed and only over the last couple of decades has China somewhat lessened its disparagement of LGBT. The latter is still racist with respect to valuing the Han population over other minorities within its borders. Nationalism and associated paranoias about the outer world is an emergent feature of countries which become authoritarian collectivist, most exemplified by North Korea.

Walter Williams referring to Marx as an anti-Semite might seem reflexively strange, but apparently that's possible when the writer/speaker is ethnically rather than religiously Jewish. (Self-hating Jews throughout history have not been a rarity.) Needless to say, that aspect of his identity probably also contributed to a significant segment of Jews in the United States (especially the intellectuals) being enamored with communism in the first half of the 20th-century. Before that naive bubble burst when they discovered the tales about the USSR were true -- that such wasn't conspiratorial or disinformational propaganda of the American government.
