Ugh ^ so sad. Reminds me a bit of Chris Watts from Colorado who killed his two kids and wife. Netflix has a recent documentary about it.

Received a text from a grandmother after I’d asked how her grandson was doing. The poor kid had just been in the hospital for 3 days while doctors puzzled over why he was experiencing severe lower abdominal pains. I’d heard that the pain gradually lessened and he was released without a reason for what the cause was. His grandmother texted me to set up a tee time for golf. I responded by agreeing to a golf date with she and her husband and added the question, how was X feeling? First reply was that the boy was out of hospital and back to normal. 6 hours later I get another text from her saying X is back in hospital for same reason but this time she ended the text with two “laughing out loud” emojis.

I’m thinking WTF? What’s so funny about being back in the hospital and why those emojis? Now for the last few months I’ve noticed this woman’s personality change. I thought that there was a possibility of an onset of Alzheimer’s plus she suddenly could not relax, seemed obsessed with keeping busy doing things you wouldn’t expect. She was either texting, phoning, knocking on our door or just outright walking in on us constantly. She’s our neighbor. My wife who was a good friend of hers was told by this woman that she was the worst friend anyone could have and I think this was because my wife started ignoring the constant efforts of this woman to contact us.

We also believe the woman is taking her prescribed meds more times than necessary and she herself was hospitalized earlier for what was described to us a overdosing because of a pharmacy error. Her husband never pursued action against the pharmacy and he sort of goes on like nothing is wrong. Anyways after hearing about the grandson back in the hospital I had the bizarre thought that she might be poisoning the boy somehow. They live close to one another and there’s constant contact between them. For a grandmother to actually laugh via two emojis about the kid being hospitalized is telling me there’s something not right here. Would I be wrong to show her husband or her grandson’s family the text? Something not adding up here.

I'd try to fabricate some excuse to show the grandson's family the text, minus directly stating the real reason. (Especially if I hadn't already asked them how he was doing with regard to the setback: "Got this text from _X_ that there are problems again...") If a light bulb still didn't seem to glow above their heads, then I'd grin and point out the emojis: "She's such a facetious lady."

I might casually ask her husband if doctors have ruled out a toxic substance as a cause. Or I’ll ask her to see how or if she reacts. It’s probably nothing and I’ve watched all Forensic Files episodes which is probably clouding my thoughts on this one. I’m going to save text just in case however. It is sad to watch a good friend suddenly lose it. Hard to accept.

I've always looked for the green flash at sunset. First photo of it I've seen confirming it's existence.

As the Sun sets, the atmosphere at the horizon acts like a prism and refracts the light. When the conditions are just right, you can catch a green flash for a second or two.

Clouds in another world..

I did a reverse image search and those are known as ''lenticular clouds.''

From wikipedia:

Lenticular clouds (Latin: Lenticularis lentil-shaped, from lenticula lentil) are stationary clouds that form mostly in the troposphere, typically in parallel alignment to the wind direction. They are often comparable in appearance to a lens or saucer. Nacreous clouds that form in the lower stratosphere sometimes have lenticular shapes.

In a way, they bear a resemblance to UFO's. lol

I love Van Gogh, and this would have been an experience to remember. Other versions have come to the US, too bad I missed the exhibit that was nearest to me this summer.

I've suddenly gained a new respect for earthworms!

Mayflies apparently suffer from water pollution, which is why their life spans are so short. The black garden ant surprises me the most. I wasn't aware that ants in general, have the longest life span of any insect.
