Russian riot police press-ganging/kidnapping young men off  the street to fight in Ukraine

Svatove
i think should be an objective
maybe once the jdams are up and running they can lay some good ground work
but i think ukraine should fake an attack somewhere to draw Orcs 2nd & 3rd line away from it.
make them move back n forward a few times to wear them down.
Orcs dont move very well and become easy targets when they move.
probably why russia is happy to throw Orcs as cannon fodder at front lines because they are incapable of being dynamic moved on the front or rear lines.
JDAMS will make short work of the 2nd & 3rd lines where the contract soldiers and heavy weapons will be.
maybe soften them up after ward with some of those 100,000 MLRS
then make a sustained lightning raid somewhere else to make them confused where the main push will be.
their command wont be able to control the Orcs to move them fast enough.
keep them guessing and miss directed.

wagner will be worried which is why prigozhin is doing the public relations videos
dont ease up on wagner
gepard anti aircraft in action & ammo depot blown up by drone

waiting for further confirmation on how many dead Orcs
Here's a list of what the US proposes to send Ukraine in latest tranche of military aid:

Some things that caught my eye...

500 TOW missiles, 500 precision artillery rounds, and hundreds of thousands of rounds of more conventional ammunition (which might not fit many of Ukraine's old Soviet weapons).

An unknown number of additional GMLRS HIMARS rockets. (These probably come from US Army supplies since Ukraine is firing them faster than the US can manufacture them.)

An unknown number of RIM-7 Sea Sparrow naval surface-to-air missiles, that apparently can be fired from land as well as ships, and reportedly can be fired from specially modified Soviet-era Buk launchers. (The Ukrainians have very good technicians and I assume they will handle that part.)

50 Bradleys, which won't be a game changer. Plus 100 additional M113's (the armored personnel carrier the Bradley (sorta) replaced) bringing the number of M113's the US has/is giving Ukraine to 300 (plus close to 200 more from a variety of other US allies). Approaching 500 of these vehicles total. That's significant.

Soledar still held by Ukraine

im hoping the Bradleys will make a real difference
with the amx 10 combined they can do lighting attacks deep into Orc lines & hopefully hit the Orc Artillery.
then withdraw and let a mechanized group move back over the same ground clearing it of orcs.
they may want to wait until they have the jdams up and running in support or the GLMRS glide missiles(under development?) to eliminate the artillery and mortars right before they with draw and the clearing force move in

The Ukrainians have been holding tough in Soledar for weeks, but just the last few days it's been getting much more difficult for them.

Soledar is the next fairly large town along the front north of Bakhmut. It's an old and kind of depressing Soviet-style industrial place that is kind of grown together with neighboring Bakhmutske (not the same as Bakhmut). Just the last few days the Russians forced the Ukrainians to pull out of Bakhmutske, to avoid being encircled. Then the Russians flanked Soledar from the north and attacked that town from two directions.

Reportedly the Russians are in many residential neighborhoods and there's heavy fighting downtown. The Russians are smelling blood in Soledar and reportedly they are shifting some of their forces that had been attacking Bakhmut for weeks on end to attacking more vulnerable Soledar. The Ukrainan Deputy Defense Minister has described the situation in Soledar as "very difficult".

Ukrainians say one of the reasons the Russians want Soledar so badly is that beneath it is a whole network of tunnels, defunct Soviet-era mine shafts that are deep enough to be bomb proof and big enough to shelter large amounts of military equipment. (I don't know if the Soviets used them as nuclear bomb shelters, but I wouldn't be surprised.) Wagner wants them.

The Ukrainian position in Soledar continues to deteriorate.

Wagner fighters have posed for photos near the Soledar city hall. They were relaxed and evidently in no fear of being fired upon. So the Russians must have pretty good control of that area.

And journalists embedded with the Ukrainian forces in Soledar have been told to leave because the Russians are in danger of establishing "fire control" over the primary road in and out.
