It is likely that this was not the only incident of poltergeist activity the couple had been experiencing. Hauntings are an ongoing phenomenon and not just one-offs. His wanting to capture it on video suggests that.

Duh, why I didn’t think this earlier? The dog is the ghost, responsible for all the noise including footsteps. Nah. It could just as easily be a live dog that found its way into the basement. Do we know if these people actually own a dog? Most reasonable explanation is real dog in wrong house at wrong time. Clincher is all noise stops when dog hears human voice.

You haven't even come close to offering a plausible alternative explanation of what we see and hear in that video. It's always amusing to me how much grueling effort skeptics put in just to debunk an obviously paranormal event. Like their little fragile world depended SO much on ghosts not existing.
