If you can't get enough wars (and who can?) here's another one! The whole border between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan has erupted. Both countries are moving their armies forwards.
This remote central Asian region is home to various obscure "stans" north of Afghanistan that used to be part of the Soviet Union. After independence, Russia continued to play policeman here and generally kept a lid on things. (Though today China is trying to exert influence and has become some of these countries' biggest trade partner.) But it's like "defund the police" in the US. Russia suddenly appears gravely weakened so things are getting rowdy on the street. The one in the tweet below show the Court of Appeals building hit, directly behind the Regional Administration building in the foreground. Ukrainian military report that civilians have seen russian soldiers in occupied territory looting houses and driving the appliances & furniture back into russia in vehicles.

Among the stuff the Russians left behind in Kharkiv oblast, Ukraine has found huge stocks of artillery rounds compatible with their older Russian made artillery guns, ammunition that the West isn't able to provide in the quantities needed.

You would think with the way things are going that Russian soldiers would not want to piss off the Ukrainians anymore than they already have. So if this is genocide on some scale then I would think the order came from the top.

What appears to be some kind of street battle in the Russian occupied city of Kherson tonight between Russian soldiers and some unknown parties near the city railroad station. There is lots of internet opinion that the whole thing was staged by the Russians and is bogus, but I don't know why they would do that. Shooting just makes the city that the Russians control and may want to annex to Russia seem less secure, and their grip over it seem more feeble, which isn't in their interest.

Shooting just makes the city that the Russians control and may want to annex to Russia seem less secure, which isn't in their interest. maybe they are doing it to cover up war crimes maybe they have dumped bodies and weapons in there and then are shooting it up and will then film it and say they were returning fire against nazis but they are not taking fire and there is a civilian car blocking the road where they have set up in the second video you can see the Z tank firing into the air to a 1st floor height directly after soldiers have gotten out & run into that line of fire. and it looks like a camera man with a camera has got out of the same APC & appears to be filming The Dirty Orcs & their murderous hoards are probably killing civilians and claiming them to be resistance fighters as punishment for the Ukraine counter offensive. |
