Quote:When the LGBT suicide rate is higher than those of Jews in Nazi concentration camps, environmental stressors do not tell the whole story.

You have no idea the effect of these stressors on LGBTs. In fact you were the one claiming it was bad enough to make them mentally ill. You're just making up bullshit as you go along to support your hateful doctrine that LGBTs are mentally ill. We all know your agenda here because it never changes. It's the same pack of lies it's always been. Demonize LGBTs any way you can.

No lies. You can look up the Jewish suicide rate in concentration camps for yourself, then compare modern US LGBT suicide rate.
The only explanation why the latter would be higher than the former, considering the former suffered outright physical and mental abuse, is that the latter is especially vulnerable to mental illness and suicide. Or are you a Holocaust denier too? O_o
A catalyst for mental illness is not a guarantee of mental illness, hence not absolutely "bad enough to make [anyone] mentally ill".
Mental illness is not a "doctrine", it is a statistical reality. We all know your agenda of self-serving denial that contributes to LGBT not seeking the help they need.

No...LGBTs are not somehow mysteriously more vulnerable to mental illness. The stressors alone explain everything. There is no need to posit extra traits beyond the ones that can explain it. Homophobia leads to depression and anxiety and a higher suicide rate. Period.

Higher suicide rate than Jews starved and tortured in concentrations camps. By your reasoning, LGBT would have to be more starved and tortured than those Jews.
That just doesn't hold any water.

Probably were deprived of the means of committing suicide easily. Plus being imprisoned and deprived emboldens one with a purpose to escape and be free. There are just too many variables here to assume a correlative experience, much less a correlative behavior, between being a holocaust prisoner and an LGBT.

A lot of unsupported speculation for your denials.

How about comparing apples to apples:

Until the end of World War II, there are 14 death certificates which state “suicide” as cause of death of prisoners classified as homosexuals, all of them men aged between 23 and 59 years and of various religions and social strata. Based on a population of 1,200 prisoners classified as homosexuals, this allows us to calculate a suicide rate of 1,167/100,000 (over the period of eight years) for this population, a rate 10 times higher than for global inmates (111/100,000).

Ten times the suicide rate, even in concentration camps. So there goes that argument.

So more suicides in AND out of concentration camps, as well as higher suicide rate in modern US LGBT than concentration camp Jews.
That must be some serious persecution complex you have.

It's called homophobia. Where have you been the last 7 posts?

"In terms of cause–effect and triggers for depression, a range of factors have been detailed, many of which are intertwined with the stress that can accompany being part of socially marginalized gay communities (Mays & Cochran, 2001; Meyer, 1995, 2003). Meyer’s (1995, 2003) minority stress model highlighted four interconnected factors: (a) prejudice events, (b) expectations of rejection and discrimination, © concealment of identity, and (d) internalized homophobia. In the specific context of prejudice events, which refers to the multiple forms of antigay violence and discrimination (Meyer, 2003), a Canadian study reported that 47% of gay men had experienced harassment, 42% bullying, 16.1% workplace discrimination, and 13% physical violence because of their sexuality (Ferlatte, Dulai, Hottes, Trussler, & Marchand, 2015). Additional studies have also demonstrated that such events are associated with depression and emotional distress (Diaz, Ayala, Bein, Henne, & Marin, 2001; Hatzenbuehler, McLaughlin, Keyes, & Hasin, 2010; Herek, Gillis, Cogan, 1999; Herek, Gillis, Cogan, Glunt, 1997; Huebner, Rebchook, & Kegeles, 2004; Lea, de Wit, & Reynolds, 2014; McCabe, Bostwick, Hughes, West, & Boyd, 2010; Meyer, 2003). Research has reported that depression in gay men often starts early on in adolescence and continues into young adulthood (Marshal et al., 2011). Depression among young gay men has been associated with prejudice events such as school-based victimization (Burton, Marshal, Chisolm, Sucato, & Friedman, 2013; Russell, Ryan, Toomey, Diaz, & Sanchez, 2011). Young gay men can experience prejudice in their family in the form of rejection, often after disclosing their sexual orientation during adolescence, which in turn can heighten young men’s risk for depression (Ryan, Huebner, Diaz, & Sanchez, 2009)."--- http://journals.sagepub.com/doi/full/10....8316685492

Depression is a mental illness.

Depressive disorder, frequently referred to simply as depression, is more than just feeling sad or going through a rough patch. It’s a serious mental health condition that requires understanding and medical care.

Most studies of minority stress are correlational.[3] While these studies have the advantage of using large, national datasets to establish links between minority status, stressors, and health, they cannot demonstrate causality. That is, most of the existing research cannot prove that prejudice causes stress, which causes poor health outcomes among minority individuals, because correlation does not imply causation.
