"Thanks to Kathryn Schulz's Pulitzer Prize-winning 2015 New Yorker article, "The Really Big One," Portlanders expect to be subsumed by the earth at any time. You'll remember this quote:

"Our operating assumption is that everything west of Interstate 5 will be toast."

But it turns out there might be worse places to live in the U.S. if you're worried about earthquakes -- and some of them are a surprise. That's according to The Cheat Sheet, which last month used data from the United States Geological Survey to rank 15 cities "in real danger of experiencing a devastating earthquake."

The list -- and more information -- is below..."

i have a wee niggling feeling there might be something bigger 7 ish anywhere in a line through papua and into indonesia philipines. in the next 3 days maybe 5 days

possibly around this area based on plaate and general force movement and the recent veryy deep movement around fiji etc a week or soo back.
the 6.2 at 10kms might signafy upper level movement pressure on the plate bounrarys coming upward.

here is going back 18 years to see how many 7.0 plus they have had in that region and roughly every 3 to 4 years.
they are over due for a 7.0 by 1.5 years
here is the usgs map showing that data
just click the link and it shows you the map showing 18 years of 7.0 and bigger in that region
usgs region 18 years record of 7.0 or bigger every 2 to 4 years
