https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/_VqYm239JPs VIDEO EXCERPTS: As we've been discussing for years at this point, Tucker Carlson is not a conservative, not in any marked way at all. And of course, this week he came out and basically backed Abdul El-Sayed, the pro-Jihadi, America-hating Democratic Senate candidate in Michigan. JD Vance is very closely aligned with Tucker Carlson. He, of course, is very close friends with Tucker Carlson.
[...] Nobody is saying you have to "throw a friend under the bus because you have a political disagreement". ... But on a political level, this is totally inept ... it's totally inept because what Vance is doing here is totally defanging the entire campaign against El-Sayed -- connecting him with Hasan Piker -- because El-Sayed is saying exactly the same thing about Hasan that JD Vance is saying about Tucker Carlson.
In contrast, Dave Rubin did cut ties with both of his ex-Fox-News friends: Carlson and Megyn Kelly. Outright burned the bridge. But of course, he's not running for office in 2028. And he's likewise Jewish and isn't going to overlook the ratings spike in their Islamic audience after their turn to anti-Zionism. Tucker apparently rewarding his viewers by "endorsing" El-Sayed. (I've not watched TC to any significant extent to sample what's transpiring in that circle. So dependent upon the comments of others there. And Kelly not much either, albeit to more extent than Carlson.)

I've seen enough clips of Carlson, with all relevant context, to know he's a grifter. I find it very concerning that Vance won't distance himself in any way, preferring to deflect about their friendship and seemingly avoiding any differences in policy preference, antisemitism, etc.. Really seems like Vance wants the antisemitic association, to court that voting minority... which would make him a grifter too.

I'm getting really put off by this little campaign to try to split MAGA and turn people against the Vice President. Clearly somebody hopes to subvert Vance's 2028 Presidential hopes. I'm not going to be swept up in it.
Given how it's being picked up by the media and amplified, not only by the usual suspects in the establishment media but by (ostensibly) conservative media as well, it's clearly being promoted by somebody. Obviously the democrats are implicated since they would never pass up an opportunity for shit-stirring. And my guess, given the prominence of people like Ben Shapiro in it, is that Israel might be stirring the pot as well.
We all know that they have operated a truly massive influence operation in the United States for many decades. They are dependent on the United States and they know it. And my suspicion is that they perceive Vance as insufficiently supportive of them, so they don't want him as the next American President.
Vance fails to denounce Carlson when commanded to do so by Shapiro, which presumably means that Vance agrees with Carlson (and by implication with Al-Sayed). That's clearly a line of attack crafted in hopes of influencing MAGA voters.
Meanwhile, Vance has been actively campaigning in Michigan against Al-Sayed and has been very outfront with his criticisms.

“There’s something about Abdul el-Sayed that is very, very evil and on the rise in the United States of America today,” Vance said, describing the candidate as “a man who has sympathy and compassion for people who share his religion,” but “nothing for people who don’t.” ...
"When I see Abdul El-Sayed talk about white supremacy being the root of opposition to Sharia law; When I see a guy like Abdul El-Sayed empathize not with the innocent children at Temple Israel or the security guards, but empathize with the person who committed that atrocious crime.
When I see Abdul El-Sayed campaign around the state with somebody who said that America deserved 9/11; What I see is a man who has sympathy and compassion for people who share his religion, but have nothing for people who don’t.”
Is that clear enough?

A lot of this "below the floor" manipulation doesn't even have to be orchestrated by central masterminds. It just naturally falls out of the horde of competing memes traveling out there and people picking up or exploiting ones that are useful to their immediate goal. And then that augmented or re-packaged one being sent out to virally infect others in the growing membership of this or that sprouting theory or conceptual view. It pays to sort of be internally agnostic about a lot of things, even if outwardly one might get temporarily caught up in the recreational value of exploring and jumping around on a particular trampoline for a bit.

If the creep of antisemitism into the Republican party is no concern for you, I assume that seems like a reasonable take.
If, like me, you'd rather not make common cause with people who would prove some of the worst slurs against conservatives to be correct, maybe you haven't thought it through entirely.

With the rise in antisemitism, it was actually started by some supposedly "conservative" pundits increasingly pandering for those views, including Republican politicians, like MTG and Thomas Massie (which is why they're out of congress). It's these antisemitic grifters who are the primary source of trying to divide conservatives (using antisemitic tropes and conspiracies)... not legacy media or anyone especially anti-Vance.
If you think Israel is "stirring the pot" by rebutting others reviving age-old antisemitic tropes, again, I can see why you don't think it's an issue.
So you see no reason that Vance should distance himself from Tucker Carlson, who is now an open antisemite, praising Iran and excoriating Israel. That makes sense if Trump was your main draw to the Republican party, and you don't actually share the values of its base.
Luckily, the base still decides primaries, which is why MTG and Massie are out.

Netanyahu actually plans Israeli independence from the US, within ten years.
Why wouldn't Israel be suspicious of going from Trump, who historically moved our embassy to Jerusalem, after decades of presidents promising to do so, and achieved the Abraham Accords, to Vance, who is very soft on even viewing Israel as an important ally and won't distance himself from open antisemites?

No one said Vance is lock-step with Carlson, but he definitely has not distanced himself from Carlson's antisemitism.
Imputing the motive to dishonestly link Vance to Al-Sayed doesn't follow, especially when Vance would only have to distance himself from Carlson's antisemitism in general... which shouldn't be hard unless he actually agrees with Tucker... to completely sever any appearance of association with Al-Sayed (which would only occur for those not paying attention anyway).

It's clear that this is arguing a strawman, because you've already decided Vance is your guy. You're obviously short-circuiting Shapiro illustrating the depths of Carlson's antisemitism (and anti-Americanism.. no matter how much Carlson dissembles) with Vance supporting Al-Sayed. The truth is that it's Carlson's antisemitism at issue, not his support for Al-Sayed.
The people who started the MAGA split are who Vance seems to be aligning with. You can't whine about one while supporting the other.... unless Vance eventually distances himself from them. You seem to be on top of any space or war news, so maybe you don't keep up with domestic politics as closely.
