Will Iran regime fall, or just another umpteenth fail of protesters? (rerun hobbies)

Yes..we all know about the Muslim civilization which has a distinctive history in many middle eastern countries dating back thousands of years.. Is that the "whole civilization" Trump is destroying? I think not.

You actually said "radical Muslim civilization" which I just proved doesn't exist. You've been proven wrong again and are disingenuously changing what you stated. That makes you a liar as well as just plain ignorant on this topic. Remember the definition of civilization I posted? Go back and read it again.

One more point:

"A regime is not a civilization; it is a system of government or rules, whereas a civilization represents a complex, long-lasting society with shared culture, technology, and institutions. A regime manages power within a state (e.g., democratic, autocratic), while a civilization can contain multiple, successive regimes."

See how you have to ignore most my post. Typical intellectual dishonesty from you.
Here, I'll repeat it for you:

Guess what the Iran regime, with the Revolutionary Guard and sponsoring terrorism, is considered.

When the civilization is comprised of radical, militant Muslims... rejected by many Muslim countries... it exists in Iran and the territory controlled by its proxy terrorist groups, Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthis, etc.. But sure, you're welcome to go tell them they're not a civilization.

Yes, the Iranian regime considers itself a civilizational state rather than just a modern nation-state, specifically promoting an "Islamic Civilization" rooted in Shi'a theology, particularly the principle of velayat-e-faqih (Guardianship of the Jurist). The regime leverages Iran's ancient, proud Persian history to claim a position of exceptionalism, leadership of the Islamic world, and a divine mandate to counter Western influence.

Iran is continuing to fire missiles at Israel. And Iran's "Supreme National Security Council" is claiming that the United States has agreed to Iran's 10-Point plan:

Since Iran's plan includes Iranian control of the Strait of Hormuz, Iran keeping its nuclear enrichment, US paying reparations, US withdrawing its military forces from the Middle East, and halting war on all fronts including against Hezbollah in Lebanon... there's just about zero chance that the US has agreed to any of that.

Just the next delay tactic. 9_9
We should already be striking.

Right...a state, not a whole civilization. They aren't stupid like you are.

Nope..doesn't make it a civilization. Just a regime, which I just showed you is NOT a civilization. I've given you all the information you need to correct yourself. So piss off numbnuts.

Again, you're welcome to go try to convince them otherwise. The repercussions would be on you. 9_9

You're talking about the people who think there are 72 virgins waiting for them in heaven if they kill people. So no, I have no interest in convincing them of anything.

Iran's Foreign Minister Seyed Araghchi just issued a statement that's significantly different than the statement put out earlier by the Supreme National Security Council. Araghchi's version is closer to what the US says it agreed to. We didn't agree to Iran's 10 points. We just agreed to halt our bombing campaign for two weeks in exchange for Iran halting its attacks on its neighbors and opening Hormuz. The next two weeks will be devoted to reaching a longer term deal, which almost certainly won't include most of Iran's 10 points.

There won't be reparations, though there might be profitable trade deals for Iran. We might agree, conditionally, to remove sanctions. We might pledge not to attack Iran, provided they adhere to their parts of the deal. The nuclear enrichment program has to go. Hormuz will need to remain an international waterway. (The Gulf Arabs will demand that.) The US won't withdraw from the Middle East, though we will eventually draw down our buildup that's there for the war. Halting war on Hezbollah will be up to Israel, which they might agree to if Hezbollah stops attacking Israel.

Exactly. They think they are defending a civilization. Not the one comprised of the Iranian citizens, protesters they slaughter in the thousands. The one where Sharia law is destined to conquer the West and become ascendant. Maybe you shouldn't opine of subjects you clearly don't understand. I mean, it's not like you engage in order to learn anything. You just wallow in your ignorance... so long as it affirms what you already believe, your existing hatreds, etc.. You know, very much like radical Islamists.

The only acceptance of their 10-point proposal, even just as a basis for negotiation, should be setup the next devastating and unanticipated strikes.
They like to lie and delay. We should reward that with our own lies and escalation.

Israel's Keshet-12 TV station frames it this way (kind of the opposite framing from the hard line Iranian framing that presented it as an American capitulation to Iranian demands).

Personally, I think that the Iranian foreign minister's version is probably the most accurate picture of where everyone is at.

Iran is still firing missiles into Israel, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates. It's unclear whether Iran is intentionally breaking the ceasefire, whether command and control are so bad in the Iranian army and IRGC that missile units still haven't gotten word, or whether some rogue IRGC hardliners are refusing to acknowledge a ceasefire.

Iranian version didn’t mention Israel specifically. In that message the word enrichment appears. Is that an admittance of building or having nuclear weapon? My guard went up, doesn’t seem right to me to not include Israel yet make reference to nuclear, but whatever.

Hegseth has said they are giving them some time to get the word out and that ceasefires take time to wind down.
IMO, we're allowing them some free potshots without fear of counterattack.
