Article  JB was just suffering from a cold (fashions in debate)

This is the New York Times even having to admit that JB wasn't at peak performance. Weeks of prepping, a good shot of whatever in the system, and some ingenious technological back-up for the missing teleprompter didn't work. Even MSM couldn't come to JB's aid this time, either voluntarily or by threat. Which seems to send the message that they want to force the DP to replace him via allowing his fragility to be bared to the world.

EXCERPTS: In a testy, personal clash, President Biden failed to ease worries about his age, Donald Trump forcefully made his case (with wild claims and exaggerations) and the moderators held their fact-checking fire.

President Biden struggled through his first debate of the 2024 campaign against Donald J. Trump, meandering and mumbling through answers as the former president pressed his case for a second term with limited resistance from his rival.

They disagreed on abortion, inflation, climate change, foreign affairs and immigration. But the sharpest contrast was in their presentation.

Mr. Trump was confident and forceful, even as he let loose a stream of misleading attacks and falsehoods. Mr. Biden spoke with a hoarse and halting voice, closing his eyes occasionally to gather thoughts that sometimes couldn’t be corralled. Democratic anxiety rose by the minute. About halfway through, people close to Mr. Biden put out word that he had a cold.

Mr. Trump relentlessly hammered Mr. Biden on areas of vulnerability, sending exaggerations and embellishments — he was the “greatest” and his opponent the “worst” — flying unchecked through the audience-free CNN studio in Atlanta.

[...] Before the debate, Biden allies tried to pressure the CNN moderators, Jake Tapper and Dana Bash, to aggressively fact-check any false statements made by Mr. Trump. CNN leadership made clear that the moderators would facilitate the discussion but that any fact-checking would be left to the candidates... (MORE - details)

COVERED:

Biden stumbled over his words as he answered a question on the national debt.

The debate exposed Biden’s biggest weakness.

Trump made his case largely unimpeded.

Biden attacked Trump for “having sex with a porn star” while Trump called out Biden’s son Hunter for his recent criminal conviction.

The debate was more personal than policy-focused.

The moderators were hands (and mics) off.

Trump still won’t accept the election results.

The split screen damaged Biden.

Heard about it. Didn’t watch. Rather I can’t watch. I’m not too far away in age from those two and it pains me to think I could be like them in a very short time. I feel embarrassed for the US. I think they’re doing more harm than good to the image people have of the elderly.

Can’t you guys find anyone younger? Have to think the whole world is laughing.

The Biden camp itself wanted and requested these super-risky debates, so the latter may have been orchestrated from the start to give JB a saving-face excuse to bow out. He can exit without angering and frustrating his legit supporters: "Look folks, you saw it yourself -- I just haven't got it all together anymore. For the good of the Party I need to step down."

Who could replace Joe Biden? Nine potential candidates
https://www.newsweek.com/who-could-repla...es-1918665

EXCERPTS: Thursday night's election debate between Joe Biden and Donald Trump sparked "panic" within the Democratic Party according to CNN chief national correspondent John King, after the 81-year-old president repeatedly appeared to lose his train of thought, triggering widespread mockery on social media...

[...] Following Thursday's debate Johanna Maska, a Democratic consultant and former Barack Obama aide, posted a video on X urging her party to change its 2024 presidential candidate.

She said: "We cannot do this, Democrats. Joe Biden can't put a sentence together. We have to change our candidate, and we have so many good candidates who are sitting on the sidelines."

Newsweek has compiled a list of nine Democrats who could become the party's 2024 presidential nominee if Biden were to pull out...

Governor Gavin Newsom (radical destroyer of California)

Vice president Kamala Harris

Michelle Obama

Governor Gretchen Whitmer

Hillary Rodham Clinton (age 76)

Governor J.B. Pritzker

Governor Josh Shapiro

Sen. Raphael Warnock

Rep. Dean Phillips

Quote: We cannot do this, Democrats. Joe Biden can't put a sentence together.

My buddy who watches a lot of CNN and hates Trump said that all he could think of while the debate was on and with Biden stumbling was ‘elderly abuse’. I mean Dems knew Joe couldn’t hold it together but put him up there in front of the nation anyways. I don’t think Joe may even be aware he embarrassed himself. Again, I couldn’t watch an obviously unwell human perform with the result being so predictable.

Anyone who's been paying attention has been saying "elder abuse" for at least two years now.
Most of the alternatives don't poll any better against Trump than Joe does.
And if they think we're going to fall for another affirmative action President (Michelle Obama), they've forgotten how much damage Barack did to race relations. All we need is a President to exacerbate that and heap some damage to sex relations on top of it.

Here’s why it would be tough for Democrats to replace Joe Biden on the presidential ticket
https://apnews.com/article/biden-replace...c0bebd3772

INTRO: There is no evidence Biden is willing to end his campaign. And it would be nearly impossible for Democrats to replace him unless he chooses to step aside...

But until now and the next month or so, JB has probably never had the max degree of pressure and persuasion that the Establishment will place on him to step down. Hang in there, Joe. Who knows how severe the July 11 sentencing will be now that the judge fully realizes the rocky road ahead for the Biden campaign.

Just give us a strong, honest, and intellectually capable candidate with a moral backbone. That's all we Americans want. Someone we can be proud to represent us to the rest of the world. Is that really too much to ask for? But the two party system as usual fails to deliver. I hate politics..

“Jesus! Where will it end? How low do you have to stoop in this country to be President?”

Our enemies know who the strong one is. So much so that Russia invaded Ukraine under Obama and Biden, but not in between. Iran, North Korea, and China didn't do any real saber-rattling in between them either. But now look at the state of the world. The bad actors don't fear the US at all. But apparently Iranian politicians were already running on dealing with Trump, even before the debate.
Iran’s Presidential Candidates Agree on One Thing: Trump Is Coming

Right now, the bad actors are laughing at Biden and America. You see, getting respect from international leftists and garnering fear from international evil are mutually exclusive. This is because leftists are too dovish to threaten evil. They still want to be Neville Chamberlain seeking a peace treaty with Hitler, when force is all those people understand. IOW, you can't be strong and be respected by the leftist West. But we're starting to see a lurch to the right throughout Europe, because, in part, it's become clear where pussy leftists will lead the world.

So yes, it is too much to ask for mutually exclusive traits in a single leader.

Trump is a lying delusional asshole with no moral backbone and little intellectual capacity backed by a minority of rightwing fanatical nutcases. He even lied during the debate again that he actually won the last election. He was an embarrassment before the world when in office and will be again if elected. And Russia only likes him because he sucks up to Putin like a little bitch. He is by far the worst president in American history, the "downright moron" of the common folk Mencken warned us all about a century ago.

And you obviously have TDS.

Trump is favored in the polls by a historic percent of minorities for a Republican, and he's edging out Biden in several swing states. Likely more so after Biden's dismal debate.
That's not a minority of one party. Hillary Clinton, to this day, says her election was stolen, but hypocrites let that slide while whining about Trump doing the same. At least with Trump, there are the facts that the FBI and social media squashed the since proven true Hunter laptop story and ran with the proven fake Steele dossier right before the election. Hillary can only blame some vague "right-wing conspiracy." No wonder MR believes her.

If Russia liked him so much, why only invade a neighbor under Obama and Biden? Because your narrative is nonsense.
And if the "worst president in American history" created historically low minority unemployment and the lowest unemployment generally in 50 years, you're a selfish prick if you'd rather more people suffer under Biden's economy. Apparently, your hate for Trump far surpasses any compassion you might have for your fellow Americas. Your widdle feeling making you a selfish prick.
