in the absence of a war there are no prisoners OF war

or war dead for Russians to complain about

Russians cant object to be sent to war when its not a war

quoting 1 Russian soldier

thousands of military conscripts sent to war while being told it was a training exercise only to be killed like sheep with no leadership.
25 year old commanders who didn't know what to do

not to mention not being supplied with clothing or body Armour

like world war 1 days

now they are relying solely on their artillery

match that with artillery and their offensive falls to pieces and they are back to where they were to begin with.

they lack the skill in command to command them and now they are running out of high tech weapons

and probably don't have enough soldiers trained to replace what they have lost in the early days.

will be a new reality when the new Ukrainian artillery comes up to the front line

then we will see what high tech long range weapons they have left

zero in with some long range artillery when ya good n ready from far away
(when i edit a post it automatically fixes it to double spacing and i cant change it back to normal spacing)

Treating them good gives them all the more incentive to surrender, if the word gets out. No country perfectly upholds its purported standards (kind of like if a prison could fruitlessly advertise that rape among inmates isn't allowed within its walls). But doubtless Ukraine probably does a better job of monitoring or even caring to begin with than the "old Soviet habits die hard" invader.

old Russian culture prides its self on its brutality
modern young Russians are not soo sadistically inclined in spite of the military trying to turn them into psychopaths

yes, because they have been told that the ukrainians are fascists and torture prisoners
because torture & abuse in Russia is normalized a lot of people have been conditioned to accept that others will be doing it.
old Russian ideology(which is the military obviously) is very brutal

not only must Ukraine win but Russia must lose

there is a difference between china making islands in the south china sea
and Russia attacking another country.

if not now then when ?
if not there then where ?
