The following presents another take on the 'real motives' behind Russian invasion: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eo6w5R6Uo8Y
What it does really illustrate is that, like in most conflicts, there are always multiple factors at play. The primary motivation however is imo that outlined in the Richard Black interview linked to earlier: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dcp0TYx_eUI
There wasn't any appreciable movement on the ground in the Kharkiv area, although Russia pummeled Ukraine's second city with nighttime rocket fire (firing from out of Russia?) causing fires in the city. The extent of that awaits daylight.
Further east, the Russians are reportedly digging into defensive positions in the Izium area, apparently in expectation of Ukrainian counterattacks.
To the east of Izium north of Sloviansk, the Ukrainians have largely completed their withdrawl south of the Severskiy Donets river and the Russians have occupied several villages vacated by the Ukrainians, including an Orthodox monastery that is a major cultural landmark in the area. There are rumors that the Russians have managed to cross the river, but that's unconfirmed.
Further east in the city of Severodonetsk, the Russians have gathered reinforcements and counter attacked, pushing back all of the Ukrainian gains of a couple of days ago. Last I heard, the Russians hold the city center and the eastern residential neighborhoods, the Ukrainians are in the industrial sector in the west of the city with their backs to the river. South of Severodonetsk the Ukrainians still hold the airport.
The Russians continue to try to encircle the Ukrainians in Severodonetsk and Lysychansk and are making modest progress in the south of the general area of encirclement. But the Russians are some ways away from cutting off the 10,000-15,000 Ukrainian troops in the area (about 10% of Ukraine's regular army miltary forces) who are probably strong enough to fight their way out in any case. Chances are Kyiv will withdraw them before that becomes necessary if their position starts to look untenable.
South and west of the Donbas battle, there's little movement on the map.
In Kherson, the little Ukrainian offensive that looked big rolling across empty farmland is being rolled up just as quickly by Russian reinforcements.
And interestingly, the guy who was effectively the Prime Minister of the separatist Donetsk People's Repubic (2'd in command after the President) has been replaced by a Russian appointee. This was reportedly ordered by Putin's #2, recently arrived in Donetsk. Apparently he arrived with orders to shake things up. Whether this is a prelude to full Russian annexation is unknown.
Quote:Putin has taken to citing Russia's past a lot lately, always carefully curated to suit his present-day cause. Several months before he attacked Ukraine, he produced a giant essay in which he essentially argued away the country's historical right to exist.
When Russia invaded its neighbour on 24 February, Putin falsely claimed it was a "special operation" limited to the eastern Donbas region to "de-Nazify" Ukraine and reduce the supposed threat to Russia.
But even as he was uttering those words, his troops were moving on Kyiv and bombing land even further west. More than 100 days later, a fifth of Ukrainian territory is under Russian military control, with puppet administrations who talk of referenda on joining Russia.

is he going senile ?
No. But is obviously under a lot of stress. If in his position, i would be 'looking over my shoulder' a lot. Expecting relentless efforts by the Soros/Rothschilds & Co Globalists to foment some kind of 'color revolution' in Russia, just like they succeeded doing in, arguably I suppose Ukraine, much of the ME ('Arab Spring'), and have so far notably failed to achieve in e.g. Venezuela. But not for lack of trying. A one-world super dictatorship just has to succeed! No matter what the intermediate cost in lives and economic destruction.

No, but I'm not a follower of any religious tradition either.
As for the equation Rothschilds = Bogey Man 'God', you might like to go back and ponder why there has been no outcry whatsoever from mainstream politicians or MSM over this: https://www.scivillage.com/thread-11744-...l#pid50108
(2nd link therein, and link within just further down post #347 that thread also).
Not quite a 'god' but an awful lot of political power is implied just there.
Funny there is no outcry to ban that sort of absolute genocidal hate, on a planned scale dwarfing anything before in history.
As you must know, I could easily link to many articles fingering not just the Rothschild dynasty but many others of similar bent. But just above should act as a wake up call. Should.

I particularly liked this very cheery one, showing Ukrainian farmers' unexpectedly bountiful harvest:
Many of these vehicles are still perfectly good and just ran out of gas due to terrible Russian logistics.
millions of dollars worth of military vehicles
see right at the end they have a anti aircraft missile system in what looks like working order.
i expect there must be additionally dozens of still working armored vehicles sitting abandoned by the Orcs.
i hope Ukraine evacuate from Severodonetsk & set up on the hill
they cant afford to lose soo many of their soldiers at close to 200 per day
100 Ukrainian soldiers is equal to 1000 orcs
Slightly off topic, I was busy trying to find a decent naming convention for an Alliance in online game set during the Roman period. While looking through assorted Roman leaders (a majority of which were tyrants)
I found a quote reported by Plutarch from Pompey in response to complaints of the citizenry after Sulla's civil war due to the damage to infrastructure and loss of civilian life...
Pompey Wrote:"why do you keep praising the laws before me when I am wearing a sword?"
The reason I mention it is as it's reminiscent of how the current war has been and how "War crimes" are being observed and allowed by the Russians.
Incidentally as in line with "Sic Semper Tyrannis", Pompey was eventually Assassinated (at the age of 57). Slain by sword and dagger and behead, with his head being brought back to Rome. When Gaius Julius Caesar was given Pompey's seal he alledgedly "wept".**
If history is to repeat itself... well it doesn't look good for Tyrants.

I noticed a precedent set by the British where the Geneva Convention doesn't apply in policing operations - or (probably) 'Special' Operations. In the absence of a war there can be no war crimes.
