Scottish leader says Burnham is 'facing idea he could be final UK PM' ahead of groundbreaking summit
https://metro.co.uk/2026/09/13/scottish-...-29598587/
EXCERPTS: The First Ministers of Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland will sign a landmark agreement on Monday to pressure Downing Street to hold referendums on independence. SNP leader John Swinney, Plaid Cymru leader Rhun ap Iorwerth and Sinn Féin vice president Michelle O’Neill will meet in Cardiff on Monday.
Swinney went as far as suggesting that Burnham is ‘facing up to the idea that he will go down in history as the final prime minister of the United Kingdom’.
The three are expected to sign a memorandum of understanding pushing for referendums in their respective countries. The meeting is as party leaders – not as officials of their respective governments.
[...] Speaking on the BBC’s Sunday Show, Scottish Education Secretary Mairi McAllan said: ‘An independence referendum is not off the table. ‘We devote time to it because it is the transformational change that allows Scotland to stand on its own two feet in the world and to fulsomely pursue the better that we want.’
The ‘status quo in the UK is unsustainable’, Ms McAllan added, pointing to the First Ministers of both Northern Ireland and Wales being in support of leaving the UK.
‘The only people who, until last week anyway, didn’t appear to understand that were the UK Government. But the Prime Minister stood at the despatch box in the House of Commons last week and was clear that Scotland must have a route to choose our own future, so we just want that agreed now in a legal format so that we can take forward our mandate in Scotland.’ ( MORE - missing details)

Wow, that would be truly historic. The end of the UK.

Can't imagine even the deprecated or legacy Tories allowing this to happen if they were in power, much less Reform.

Yeah, Reform... and to a much lesser extent the Tories (maybe)... could give people hope. Labour is hopeless. Just more of the same managed, and accelerating, decline.

Reform in the long run is a bad joke. Farage generated Brexit by having people sit in MEP positions doing nothing but twiddling their thumbs so as to undermine ties with Europe. The Referendum should of actually be Two parts, namely two votes and a transition in two stages from the outcome of those votes rather than what the Government does badly , namely the "Big Bang implementation" of any project. (When they just cut to something different with no transition planned)
Farage ran off to do a world tour telling everyone how great he was for getting some muppets to vote for Brexit while the actually problems of Brexit were largely ignored by him and the UKIP party. (They took their Russian money and ran).
Farage of course comes back after his tour, when the parties were trying to work out how to fix the crap that had been caused with the various problems (Northern Ireland and Gibraltar trade/border zones) with a new found phoenix'd party that didn't have all the Thuggery/neo-nazi/hate groupies that had existed in UKIP. (In fact UKIP had broken down a fair deal with a number of them moving across to Conservatives)
Farage then tries to imply that he is saintly and holier than though with his new party gimmick while both funding GBNews to brainwash the masses and gaining money through advertising on that network.
Currently the newest addition to "The shit that Reform did!" is the £72 million pounds donated to them from two people which they claims legitimate. What they don't take into consideration is that £36 million each is 10% short of £40 million. 10% is about the going rate for "money muling" as it covers the banking transaction fees and gives a pretty big sum to those willing to be mule.
In any event it's a moot point as to be honest, for integrity purposes Farage and Reform should have chosen to send the money back to those people due to the concerns of muling. They won't of course do that though because after all they are all about greed and it blinds them from being any good at running a country. As allowing sums of money to change the political landscape actually undermines the concept of peoples right to vote and the Democracy it's founded on.

Since UKIP MEPs were elected by the people, it seems dishonest to blame it solely on Farage. Seems Labour has done everything they could to sabotage the outcome of Brexit, harming UK citizens. Also seems pretty dishonest to call 51.9% of your voting countrymen "muppets" for simply not doing what you, and the elite, wanted. And then you get into the TDS-inspired conspiracies about Russia:
There is no evidence that Nigel Farage or UKIP as a party took funding directly from Russia, and Farage has consistently denied receiving any Russian money. Official investigations into major Brexit-era donations (such as those from businessman Arron Banks to the Leave campaign) concluded there was no proof of illegal foreign or Russian money entering the campaign.
- gemini
And then more lies:
Nigel Farage has not funded GB News. In fact, the financial relationship operates entirely in reverse: GB News pays Farage.
Rather than bankrolling the broadcaster, Farage is one of its highest-paid presenters and holds a small minority stake in the company given to him as employment incentives.

As the earlier UKIP and Brexit votes show, Farage just seems to have actual grassroots support among the people, who would also account for his viewership success on GB News.
And then more obviously politically motivated and unfounded conspiracies.
FDS/RDS/TDS. It's all the same mental illness, with the exact same symptoms. You gonna sue all those for your mental illness too? @_@

Lets put it like this Syne, you can live under whatever rock it is you live under. However over here not everyone wants Farage and Reform. They are a turd in the long grass.

LOL! What a baldfaced strawman! No one EVER said all Brits support Farage or Reform. So "not everyone" is a given. If that's all you have to rebut the verified facts I provided, you're well and truly fuckered. The elites have complete captured you, and you're just a mindless mouthpiece.

Again, if personal invective is all the rebuttal you have, you clearly have nothing. It's really a shame you can't back up any of your bullshit with anything even resembling facts.
