Quote:Anal? Odd choice of word. Too bad you feel that way. Why is it not in your best interest to explain even the most subtle anomaly a video might contain? You put it out there, not me.
You're not seeing anomalies. You're making them up as an excuse for dismissing the video as somehow hoaxed because you don't want to believe in ghosts. Face it Zinn. Reality doesn't always conform to what we want it to be.

Things seen in real life and on video are accepted by everyone as sure everyday. I hardly think calling all these people fools is very generous.

I wonder if evolution has a hand in this. Do you have the same equipment as I? Some creatures can see UV light. Who's to say there are no slight variations between all 7 billion of us?
By the way ... i think the ghost car videos in post 56 are great examples of green screen special effects. Just another one of the techniques used by filmmakers to create an illusion out of thin air. IMHO ghost videos of cars or otherwise, appearing from nowhere, are not worth a plug nickel as evidence of the paranormal. Once doubt is created then case closed, on to the next one.

What does that have to do with Gettysburg ghosts caught on a video camera back in 2001?

Nothing, I'm done with that one. I thought it time to move on and since I never commented on those vids......

If it's a residual, why are they up in the trees, like the guy says in the video?
Shouldn't a residual be bound to the environment it originally occurred in?
Looks more like a projection. Maybe some kind of natural camera obscura effect:

First thing I went looking for once I saw MR's didn't show it uninterrupted and without commentary. If it's supposedly strong evidence, people should let it speak for itself.

Those aren't special effects or ghosts at all. It's just the camera angle lets the one car hide behind the other until you see it.
Same thing happening here:

It's not teleportation, just very opportune coincidence.

Because the land back in the 1860's would obviously be higher. What we are seeing is the land level prior to a century and a half of erosion.

I'm not that eager to rule out green screen but either way, no ghosts.
Just one more thing on Gettysburg ghost video. I forgot to mention this earlier but there is a distinct possibility that the ghost soldiers are merely Civil War re-enactors (if there is such a word). Wiki says by the year 2000 over 50,000 people got their jollies acting as Civil War participants, number apparently declined to 30,000 by 2010 and is steadily going down. I think Gettysburg would be a magnet for anybody interested in that stuff. Who's to say some reenactment wasn't going on the day vid was shot or if some vacationers, even from the group holding the camera here, took the opportunity to play war. I'm sure permission is needed but when does not having it stop some people? Too much doubt to be officially declared ghosts.

Except it was at night. Civil war reenactors at night? I don't think so. Plus there's the continuous loop effect seen in Syne's video and the floating above the ground level.

! Wow, you even managed to ignore what you quoted.
A natural camera obscura effect would be coincidence.

Do you have topological elevation maps to back up that claim, or just more ad hoc bullshit?
Do you think all land naturally sinks for some reason? O_o

Yeah..it's called erosion. Take a Geology 101 course in college some time.
