Spem in alium was written in 1561 so no computers then and is written for 40 different parts - if any one of those 40 parts was written badly or sung badly it's going to sound like shit. The version here is sung by King's School Canterbury Choir - Canterbury is the city I would have chosen to live in if I didn't live near the city of Exeter so for me they have a sort of home team quality - I'm forgiving of faults. The format of lockdown choir is odd but (IMHO) the result is as good or better than any other on Youtube.

Tallis Cannon - Spem in alium (1547) - I hope at least one person likes it:

Darn. Didn't coincidentally mean to post just a few instants after you did, C2. That's why I'm replying here swiftly to get it on the next/new page. Great harmony and melody, BTW -- outright transcendent. (Added, after listening.)

I edited the original order to move this one down after my two posts were joined due to not being submitted longer than an hour apart.

While perusing Candyrat Records, I finally stumbled on an "early" acoustic guitarist. She doesn't even have 500 Youtube subscribers yet (actually been there circa 5 years).

Since this performance (i.e., Cyber Racing) was recorded at a club in Moscow, I take it Alexandr Misko has some talented competition. (Separate cities, maybe, but he does know about her.)

One to keep an eye on as her career develops. Even for this percussive style, she has a tad of eccentric technique. Obviously listens to and watches a lot of South Korean and neighboring Asian entertainment, which I know zilch about (and stubbornly want to remain that blissfully ignorant of Z-gen icons). INTRO (Julia KM): "Vendetta" is probably one of the best compositions of mine. It's a part of my conceptual album "Fatality" which tells a story about ninja who's lost faith in life and trying to find a true destiny. The composition combines the most favourite genres of mine - flamenco and metal. I hope you enjoy this piece guys as well as I enjoyed working on it.

I remember this song playing in the background of a scene from the HBO series, Big Little Lies a few years back. I didn't think about who sang it then, but thought it was sweet. Recently read an article about Young's Spotify rant, and this song was mentioned. lol

I often get the name of that 1992 song confused with his 1972 song "Harvest" -- as well as confusing both albums that have those same, respective titles.

"Harvest" literally became the best-selling album of 1972; whereas "Harvest Moon" (the album) only got accolades from some reviews for being the best album of the year. Though it did sell plenty well, with either gold or multiple platinum status in Anglo countries.

Even after 20 years between the similar-named album titles (and songs), Young was apparently still not half buried and forgotten by the grunge era.

"Listen to this when you want to sleep." -- Sungha Jung

I have no idea what would count as the "original" of what is apparently a MMOARPG music piece. Here's a South Korean ensemble's cover of it to serve as a substitute: https://youtu.be/thWJP-CzTT4
