though i am wondering if this suggests there will be movement on the other side of the pacific plate.

in around a week the moon and mercury will align up in the straight line which i am wondering if it will have any effect.
from some casual reading it appears the when the erth has no other bodys in close proximity there has been some bigger quakes
but its all purely hypothetical guess work
18/03 moon is on the outside of the earth to the sun and mercury will be between the earth and the sun
i am not sure if the gravitational and magnetic fields have any real effect
i have not been plotting it properly, just starting to note the alignments and if they coincide with big quakes.

Some very, very tentative evidence that the moon might make a trivial contribution to occasional earthquakes. Whereas skeptics like Phil Plat assert that even all the planets in alignment and optimally as close to earth as possible would only have 2% of the gravitational effect of the Moon itself.

i have noticed there is a lot of cross over amongst astrology & astrophysics(astronomy) in this area so i am keen to try and not have confusing content that might infer some type of magical effect etc.
what i have wondered is how much and what effect the different magnetic fields have on water and land, magma etc...
as noted, given the cycle of high frequency(every 2 weeks and monthly) of the moon & sun, the chances of plate tectonics coinciding with one of those is very high
high enough to almost give a 50/50 coin toss type of scenario(ignoring your recent post about statistics of coin tosses lol)
what i follow is very simple
1 the fact that plate movement is always an ongoing process so always has energy exerting and thus equally must always have energy coming out
2 the less energy coming out for a longer period means the greater the sudden amount of energy that will come out in one go(just a summised theory)
3 size of quakes and frequency indicating a rough amount of energy coming out over various time periods
4 frequency of past quakes
5 location & types of quakes at varying depths in the assumption that general force comes to the surface eventually
6 lines of force the general line of direction of movement of energy coming out which is just a casual speculation in accordance with plate direction and planet rotation
