Haphazardly bombing urban areas resulting in the death of thousands of innocent Palestinian citizens is no less atrocious. And the numbers being killed this way far exceeds anything like a proportionate response.

The evidence is overwhelming and incriminating. Hamas systematically exploited Al-Shifa Hospital and other medical centers in Gaza for command and control centers, terror tunnels, weapons storage, hiding kidnapped hostages, and murdering kidnapped hostages.

The newly released videos are disturbing, but they are not surprising. For nearly fifteen years, Israeli and American officials have publicly acknowledged the existence of Hamas’ headquarters under Al-Shifa Hospital, and the international media has reported on the active presence of Hamas in hospitals, including during rounds of armed conflict.

However, there is one network that has constantly denied Hamas’ exploitation of Al-Shifa and other hospitals in Gaza — the influential community of ostensible human rights NGOs, humanitarian aid organizations, and their UN agency partners. Many of these groups have been actively complicit in covering up the diversion of aid by Hamas. Some of them employ Hamas and other terror operatives. At the same time, these groups have disseminated disinformation regarding Israeli operations and have likely lied to government donors in auditing and oversight processes. A member of Hamas admitted that the terrorist group uses a hospital as a command center, according to new footage released by Israel on December 19. The footage shows an Israeli interrogation of Hamas Lieutenant Colonel Ahmad Kahalot, who serves as manager of the Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, in which he admits that the facility was under the control of Hamas. Kahalot also says that at least one Israeli hostage seized by Hamas on October 7 was brought to the hospital.

The Hamas-run Gaza health ministry reported on December 12 that Israeli troops entered the Kamal Adwan Hospital. In the subsequent days, Israeli soldiers arrested more than 70 Hamas operatives, including Kahalot. Following the arrests, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Shin Bet security agency released a joint statement indicating that some of the individuals captured at the hospital had participated in the October 7 massacre in southern Israel.

All the more reason NOT to indiscriminately bomb such hospitals killing the patients and the hostages at the same time. I have nothing against raiding such facilities. That way they can actually confirm the presence of Hamas operatives and capture them and acquire valuable intelligence on their operation. Just don't bomb them and deprive the thousands of wounded much needed care. Unfortunately they ARE bombing them which is a war crime under international law:
