DIY fail: pro-Palestinian activists from the West encounter harsh reality in Egypt - C C - Jun 17, 2025 BACKGROUND (wikipedia): Global March to Gaza - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - THE RUBIN REPORT https://youtu.be/Hc-D2XMpbjM VIDEO EXCERPTS: These agitators naively believed they could waltz into a volatile region with their performance activism. [...] The activists were brutally attacked, beaten, whipped, and stripped of their passports, and forcibly deported in a humiliating rout. The fiasco exposes the delusional arrogance of the Left, who cling to the fantasy of solidarity while ignoring the stark truth: Islamic values are fundamentally at odds with Western principles, and no amount of Soros-funded grandstanding will bridge that chasm. [...] The Egyptians built the giant wall. We've shown you the giant wall, they had a wall that was dozens of feet high that was concrete and barbed wire, and all this crazy stuff. [...] Egypt does not want anything to do with the Palestinians. They have locked their border down, and these Western dingbats like Queers for Palestine, Code Pink, Palestinian Youth Movement, and Marxist morons from Europe, Canada, and the US -- thought they would land in Cairo and causally do as they pleased... Failed ‘March to Gaza’ was pure absurdity — exposing the left’s impotent rage (excerpt): Egyptian authorities confiscated passports and phones, arrested some of the marchers and gave them all the chilliest of receptions despite the desert heat. Nor were the police the only ones giving the wealthy white would-be saviors of Palestine a hard time — throngs of ordinary Egyptians shouted abuse and tussled with the clueless do-gooders. In Gaza itself, the marchers could have suffered far worse. A similar effort is already in serious trouble hundreds of miles away: 1,000 protesters from North Africa are held up in Libya, where France24 reports they have “no access to food, water or medicine and communications severely disrupted” and organizers say they are under “systemic siege.” Those pro-Palestinian activists hail from places like Algeria, Mauretania, Morocco and Tunisia — now imagine the pasty faces from the “No Kings” crowd in that situation. Egypt seems almost like Madison, Wis., by comparison — and Gaza makes even Libya seem tame. Getting packed onto buses and deported from Egypt is the kindest thing that could happen to European leftists trying to tour a war zone... Protesters Hold Woke Protest in Egypt, It Didn’t End Well ... https://youtu.be/Hc-D2XMpbjM RE: DIY fail: pro-Palestinian activists from the West encounter harsh reality in Egypt - Magical Realist - Jun 17, 2025 I respect their attempt and certainly support the cause of aiding Gaza which has for the last few months been starving due to Israel's blockade of food supplies. A little worldwide media attention couldn't have hurt. So what crime did they commit in Egypt? Do they not believe in protest marches there? OK so I just watched part of the video. And suffice it to say that anyone who knows who George Soros is isn't worth my 5 minutes. RE: DIY fail: pro-Palestinian activists from the West encounter harsh reality in Egypt - Syne - Jun 17, 2025 Of course leftists respect useless attempts that do nothing but virtue-signal. Most of their protests are certainly manned with useless, jobless people that have nothing better to do during workdays. Yes, dipshit, most countries in the world have zero protections for free speech. RE: DIY fail: pro-Palestinian activists from the West encounter harsh reality in Egypt - Magical Realist - Jun 17, 2025 Quote:Of course leftists respect useless attempts that do nothing but virtue-signal. How do you distinguish virtuous acts from "virtue signaling"? Was Ghandi virtue signaling? Rosa Parks? Mother Teresa? RE: DIY fail: pro-Palestinian activists from the West encounter harsh reality in Egypt - Syne - Jun 17, 2025 Virtue-signaling is wanting to appear virtuous while not actually taking useful or effective action toward a goal. Only morons would think their little march through Egypt was ever going to accomplish anything. RE: DIY fail: pro-Palestinian activists from the West encounter harsh reality in Egypt - Magical Realist - Jun 17, 2025 Drawing worldwide media attention to the injustice of Israel starving millions of Palestinians with a blockade IS accomplishing something. Only after this issue was made known on the news that dozens of charity organizations started flooding my FB newsfeed for donations. And Israel has started to let supplies in again. This is the effect of raising public awareness. It isn't virtual signaling about anything. However feeding Gazans could be a condition Trump has demanded before USA gets more heavily involved in spanking Iran’s ass. RE: DIY fail: pro-Palestinian activists from the West encounter harsh reality in Egypt - Syne - Jun 18, 2025 Israel only let supplies in when the US got involved, to help ensure Hamas didn't steal the aid. Israel's first priority is its own survival. Aid that only gets to Hamas runs counter to that goal. Had nothing to do with public awareness (which, as you say, could have been effected through FB posts alone*) and everything to do with Trump. *And how many of those soliciting your donations are part of the GHF? Which only happened when the media started reporting it and the public was made aware. Trump watches alot of TV news too. What does "dozens of charities" suggest to you? 9_9 RE: DIY fail: pro-Palestinian activists from the West encounter harsh reality in Egypt - Syne - Jun 18, 2025 (Jun 18, 2025 02:45 AM)Magical Realist Wrote: Which only happened when the media started reporting it and the public was made aware. Quote:Their survival doesn't depend on committing wholesale genocide in Gaza..Accusation of genocide is a blatant antisemitic trope, which we all know you got from antisemitic Qatari Al Jazeera. Iran is the one launching hundreds of missiles at civilian population centers, while Israel has always attacked military targets... including in Gaza.
