One thing I've noticed is, it doesn't really become a riot until troops of gas-masked thugs show up shooting off gas canisters and flash bangs into the crowds. This has the predictable effect of taking the element of adversity up several notches, inciting reactionary violence and angry vandalism. This is why de-escalation is so important in crowd control training. But then no TV viewers wanna see that. And the news media knows it. And Trump knows it. In the land of the 1 minute soundbyte, optics is everything.

Again, obstructing law enforcement is a crime. Claiming law enforcement is to blame for enforcing the law is non-starter. If we let people protesting and obstructing keep us from enforcing the laws, we'd soon have complete anarchy.
The riots are children throwing a tantrum because they finally had to deal with someone other than the state/city that let them get away with just about anything. ![]()
Oopsie! Looks like Trump's got to surrender the National Guard back to Newsom. I knew he was violating the Constitution.
"A federal judge has blocked President Donald Trump's move to deploy California National Guard troops during protests over immigration raids in Los Angeles, calling the move "illegal" and ordering the Trump administration to return the control of the California National Guard to the control of Gov. Gavin Newsom. The judge's order, which does not limit Trump's use of the Marines, does not take effect until Friday at noon. The Trump administration immediately filed a notice to appeal the order. "At this early stage of the proceedings, the Court must determine whether the President followed the congressionally mandated procedure for his actions. He did not," U.S. District Judge Charles Breyer said in his order granting the temporary restraining order sought by Newsom. "His actions were illegal—both exceeding the scope of his statutory authority and violating the Tenth Amendment to the United States Constitution. He must therefore return control of the California National Guard to the Governor of the State of California forthwith." https://abcnews.go.com/US/california-eme...=122773137 ![]()
This Clinton appointee's ruling will not hold up under appeal.
"His actions were illegal—both exceeding the scope of his statutory authority and violating the Tenth Amendment to the United States Constitution. He must therefore return control of the California National Guard to the Governor of the State of California forthwith."... Trump literal invoked Title 10 Section 12406, which means he did not violate his authority nor the Tenth Amendment, as Section 12406 is a power specifically given to the federal government. In a statement on social media, Newsom wrote, "The court just confirmed what we all know: The military belongs on the battlefield, not on our city streets.... The judge didn't rule on Trump's use of the Marines, which means this ruling doesn't have anything to do with "the military belongs on the battlefield."Breyer wrote that the protests in Los Angeles "fall far short" of the legal requirements of a "rebellion" to justify a federal deployment. Rebellions need to be armed, violent, organized, open, and aim to overturn a government, he wrote. The protests in California meet none of those conditions, he found. While peaceful protests are legal and are protected by the Constitution, violence, and destruction are not. Rebellion and insurrection apply when perpetrators destroy government property or assault federal officers. This type of illegal behavior is considered a crime against the United States and the Constitution. - https://www.thefederalcriminalattorneys....surrection ![]()
LOL! Methinks spraying a building with graffiti and protesting ICE arrests doesn't constitute a rebellion OR insurrection against the Federal govt. But heckfire, it sure made Trump look like a miltary hero for awhile. Can't wait for his birthday tank parade.

Literally blocking federal agents, trying to obstruct law enforce, and attacking law enforcement vehicles and personnel is rebelling against the authority of the US government. As usual, you need to crawl out from under your rock, watch news other than MSNBC, and maybe learn something about the law.
Or just keep proving your ignorance... your choice. ![]()
