Russian Ukraine Invasion

My guess is Putin is belatedly spinning up the illusion that the country they have invaded was preparing to invade or attack Russia.

also gives him the excuse to militarize those buildings and the people in them.

The Norwegian Army Chief of Staff (Norway is a NATO member so presumably he has access to the classified briefings) says that he believes that Russia has suffered somewhere around 180,000 military casualties (both killed and wounded) while Ukraine has suffered "over" 100,000. Civilian casualties would have to be added to those numbers.

Der Spiegel js reporting that Germany has decided to allow German-made Leopard 2 tanks to go to Ukraine. This will reportedly be "one company" of German Bundeswehr tanks, approximately 14 vehicles. But it's more important than that, since other European countries like Poland that use Leopard 2's say that they will send some of theirs if Germany is cool with it. (Apparently the contracts these countries signed when they bought them required German approval before they could pass them on to third-countries.) The grand total could approach 100 of these very modern tanks.

awesome news and i see usa media is reporting usa is going to send abrams

with abrams leading a battalion of leopards ukraine will be unstoppable (supported by bradleys and other IFV's)
with glide bombs they will be unstoppable
hopefully the glide bombs are not too far off.

Ukraine will crush the filthy orcs

see fantastic news also ukraine shot down 2 orc fighter's(SU-25?) and three KA52

Denys reports WAGNER are using human wave convicts in a frontal assault then using their contract soldiers with experience to flank Ukrainian soldiers.

i would suggest an armored(bradleys for instance)spearhead lighting attack driving into the flank(so the Ukrainian counter attack flanks the flanking maneuver)  to over power them quickly and then attack the rear from that position then scoot out again.
need those archers and caesars working as counter battery fire

Seems like Russians between rock and a hard place. They can’t wage war with countries supporting Ukraine since it would be a war on multiple fronts. Can’t toss nukes around either because they’ll get more in return. Very skeptical about the news reporting but I’m thinking Russians will eventually have to sue for peace. They may become more isolated but they will at least have a few friends they can’t trust.

Putin could end it overnight by announcing that the [undefined] objectives of the 'Special Operation' have been achieved. I don't think many people (including the invaders) would be sad to see the invasion force leave. Kind'a leaves Putin and his desire to be 'Putin the Great' as the problem.

I'd try to spin my way out by insisting that any reports of deaths on either side (even this forum) emphasize that they were the sad result of having a madman in charge of a country. They might not leak back to the Russian people but will almost certainly reach Putin .

Edit..
I'd want to consult a shrink first - Putin identified as a loon might be more dangerous than he already is.

If Ukraine actively, militarily wanting their territory back wasn't a major impediment to a settlement. Wouldn't have been a problem with the level of self-esteem that Ukraine had in 2014. But now that they've discovered that they really are a legit half of a David and Goliath scenario, there's no halting the burgeoning machismo.

Plenty of articles on internet regarding psychopaths, sociopaths and their ilk making above average leaders. Maybe it’s because they don’t think of anyone but themselves…idk.

Just saw the headline where Biden says US sending Abrams to Ukraine but not right away. Could that be ruse to fool Russians?
