And here's a short video of what the Azovstal steel works in Mariupol looks like now. It's where Ukrainian forces held out for weeks in the tunnels under the plant while the Russians pounded them.

Here's a leak about what Putin will say tomorrow that supposedly comes from the Russian Presidential Administration. Its source is Volya Media, an independent Russian news channel.
According to this version, Putin will not announce a new mobilization (everyone knows its coming anyway) and will not declare war on Ukraine. Instead he will say that Russia is really (informally, not legally) at war with the United States and NATO, which are using Ukraine to fight a proxy war against Russia. Since this threatens Russian territory and the Russian people, Putin will say that any further escalation by the US or NATO will be met by a "full-scale retaliatory strike".

i guess that putzler doesn't want to specifically declare a mobilization or martial law to avoid being blamed for the deaths of russians.
so he can claim to play the victim.
Ukrainian internal affairs ministers helicopter goes down in flames & crashes into a kindergarten killing 3 children and all on board
17 dead
unknown wounded
reports say the helicopter caught fire in the air and then crashed in foggy conditions

Sweden says that it will be supplying Archer 155mm self-propelled artillery to Ukraine. They haven't said how many.
(RU's been advocating for more of these to Ukraine for some time.)
AWESOME
these are the bees knees of systems
most advanced can be run by a single person, should be operable in sub zero temps with ease,
scoot n shoot n scoot
they can sit outside range of enemy battery's and then scoot in to range shoot n scoot out again as counter battery fire for forward positions.
with 3 rounds down inside a minute they can leave the firing position and scoot out to safety & wait for obs to then call them in again if the target needs to be hit again or has moved.
i think all western military's will want these as their main artillery
its a must have
soo they just need to be paired with good air defense system for protection
they can camp inside air defense and scoot out to shoot (preferably always under air defense cover but you have to be realistic)
Fantastic news as well from SAAB & BOEING Ground-Launched Small Diameter Bomb
is currently being developed
this will be a game changer (in sufficient numbers)

List of stuff that the US, Canada and Europe are sending Ukraine. These aren't token shipments, taken together they are a huge flood of arms.
From this, it looks like Sweden is sending 12 Archers. The number of GLSDB isn't revealed. But there's a flood of other stuff, much of it just as useful. 18 more HIMARS launchers and many self-propelled howitzers of several types from several countries. (The problem with HIMARS is supplying the precision guided rockets to fire in them. The Ukrainians are shooting them off much faster than the US can manufacture them. HIMARS can fire GLSDB's) Sweden is also donating 50 CV-90 Combat Vehicles. These look like tanks but are more similar to Bradleys (100 of those promised) in that they can carry 6-8 infantry soldiers each. They are good enough that the US is considering buying them for the US Army.
There are seven nasams point-defense surface-to-air batteries (1 from Canada, six from US) and 2-3 Patriot SAM missile batteries.
I do worry that Ukraine is getting too many weapons types. Each will require specialized technicians and spare parts. It looks like a nightmare to support.
I also worry that this flood of weaponry can only be provided by taking it from donor military stockpiles. Many of the Western militaries were too small as it was, and this will only further weaken them. (China probably loves to see it.)

After consolidating their hold on Soledar to the north of Bakhmut, the Russians have pushed into Bakhmut again. Thier advances are generally slow and building to building, but they have taken several highrise apartment buildings. Once again, this seems to mostly be the work of Wagner.
(Map from Twitter by OsintDefender)
The Russians are having modest success to the south of Bakhmut, between Klishchiivka and Bakhmut. It does look like they want to encircle Bakhmut and cut the main road in from the west. Here it seems to be both Wagner and regular army Airborne troops.
This is interesting. A giant crane lifted several Pantsir anti-aircraft missile batteries onto the roof of the Russian defense ministry in Moscow. Apparently they anticipate the possibility of Ukrainian cruise-missile attacks on war-related government targets in the capital.
Starting to sound better about the leopard 2 tanks for ukraine.
im hoping usa gives a few abrams to ukraine and then NATO allies donate a few hundred leopards
i think with combined leopard main battle tanks & bradleys & strykers and the swedish IFV it will give ukraine a counter offensive capability to crush the Orcs and re claim citys.
hoping some F-16's get handed over so they can use the JDAMS on them as support in the big push
and also the glide bombs will hopefully arrive soon.

Pantsir point-defense missile systems (similar defensive role to the NASAMS that Ukraine is receiving I guess) have been placed atop at least three large buildings in central Moscow, on the Education Ministry roof, the Ministry of Defense roof and the Internal Affairs Ministry roof. They are positioned in such a way that all three of these sites cover the Kremlin. Pantsirs have also been seen near Putin's country dacha (it's more of an estate than a rural cabin) outside Moscow.
British donated Sea King helicopter (at one time the Royal Navy operated many of these, but they are phasing them out) now in Ukrainian service. From how they lower a couple of guys, then immediately winch them back up, my guess is that it's a training exercise.

I have a suspicion they are there not because of a concern of what Ukraine intends to do, but because of what Russia intends to do. It's likely they have something "in the pipes" that NATO isn't going to like and if they decide to do it, then they will likely want those point-defenses.
