UN delegates walk out on Netanyahoo's speech

Excerpt: If about 1400 people were killed on October 7th—and you extrapolate the numbers because there's only about 10 million Israelis—it would be something like let's say 50,000 Americans being killed on one day and then another 10,000 Americans being hidden somewhere underground in Mexico. What do you think Donald Trump would do? He would raise all hell like you can't even imagine. It would make whatever BB did look like child's play, right?
...
The last big two before Israel, the modern state of Israel existed were the Ottoman Empire, the Turks, and the British Empire. The British had the British mandate for Palestine and Arabs lived there. There were no Palestinian people. Arabs lived there and Jews live there and Christians. And when the British Empire ended 1947, they offered them a partition plan and they said to the Arabs, "Here's some land for you. Jews, here's some land for you." And the Jews said yes. The Arabs said no. And then seven Arab armies tried to wipe out all of the Jews, which now they call the Nakba.

When your whole territory has been reduced to rebar and concrete rubble its kinda hard to make anything. Every civilization on earth is allowed to have toys. Gaza should be no exception.

Hence the need for toys..lol

IOW, they have toys. Just not ones they buy. 9_9

"Need"? You seem to understand that word as abysmally as you understand "essential."

An alternative 'view' might be that Israel's declaration of independence turned a civil war (Palestinian v. Palestinian) into a state war .. what was happening on the ground became a 'special military operation' on behalf of the new Israeli state.

No secret .. then or now..

Zionists wanted to create a Jewish state in Palestine with as much land, as many Jews, and as few Palestinian Arabs as possible.[3][4][disputed – discuss] Zionism was the main force behind the creation of the State of Israel in 1948, and remains the country's dominant ideology today.

After declaring independence the threat to the new state was 'existential'. You can (of course) claim/believe the existential threat wasn't caused by the declaration of independence.

Possibly it would be useful to look at alternatives .. if the declaration of independence turns out to be the least bad (and even if it doesn't) .. then look at ways to mitigate the consequences of the least bad alternative.

So now you're plagiarizing without citation. You even included the "disputed." 9_9

Yes, yes, hateful people are always looking for "alternative facts" to support their hatred.

Israel didn't just suddenly "declare independence" in 1948. The British Balfour Declaration, in 1917, supported a national home for Jews in Palestine. Then after the fall of the Ottoman Empire, in 1922, the ruling British Mandate of Palestine actually limited Jewish immigration to appease antisemitic Arabs (a prelude to Neville Chamberlain). Then after WWII, Britain withdrew from the territory, too weak and unwilling to help implement the UN Partition Plan (two-state solution) of 1947. Without British troops to maintain some degree of peace, it immediately because existential, requiring Israel to declare independence and defend itself.

Which of these facts are you in denial about? @_@
