Dying to get back on sciforums

No other forum satisfies me like sciforums. All the popular internet personalities are there. They fumble around and are clueless about how to prove the existence of God. That is a gap that I can fill. Will someone talk to JamesR about giving me one more chance?

No. You obviously don't deserve one, as you've repeated here everything that got you kicked for there. Proselytizing and not supporting your claims.

Luckily, I'm not seeking anyone's approval.

You're the one who decided to get my attention (I have you on ignore) by using my name in the title of a thread in the Philosophy forum, which was all about you whining and nothing about philosophy: https://www.scivillage.com/thread-6098.html
Now that you have my attention, don't ask questions if you can't handle the answers. Otherwise, be an adult and go find a life, at least elsewhere online than sciforums...if you can't find one in the real world.

Don't worry about Syne. He was banned from Sciforums for his own bullshit. He has little room to judge you with.

Nope, I'm still a "Valued Senior Member" over there. Go see for yourself: http://www.sciforums.com/threads/simple-...on.157930/
I just haven't posted over there since last year.

why were you banned ?

note something that seems to ask its self a question.

Quote:They fumble around and are clueless about how to prove the existence of God.

if god wanted to be proven, would not god have the power & will to do so ?

thus why would god leave it up to humans to try and prove it to other humans ?

this seems odd.
i am not suggesting you dont bother, simply pointing out that if god has that ability then god might be deliberately making it impossible to do so.

Bingo!

Tolerated here because we're only talking casually as the forum's title suggests. Be grateful Ostro, any other forum would have you parked outside.

It's against Sciforums rules to advocate for a banned member. Sorry..

I remember you posting over there using a whole succession of different names and log-ins. You used to say that you had been banned but had promised to be different in the future, so JamesR relented and let you back.

So if that's not working any more, then it sounds like you have finally burned all your bridges.

Your problem was that you weren't any different. Whatever username you were using, it was always the same thing.

I can't help you. I'm barely tolerated over there and have no influence with the moderators.

Stay here and work as hard as you can to try to say something interesting and comprehensible to other people.

Don't preach incomprehensible Langan gibberish. Don't try to suggest that you are some kind of prophet. Don't announce that you have received divine revelations.

If you want to discuss philosophy, start at the beginning. Tell everyone what problem you are interested in. (Defining a philosophical problem can be a philosophical problem, it isn't always easy.) It might help to start with something easier than the existence and nature of God. Addressing that question presupposes the answers to too many other questions in epistemology and metaphysics.

Then produce some ideas of your own about your question. Don't begin by running to Langan. Don't get angry if people try to argue against your ideas, that's just the 'Socratic method' in which philosophical inquiry is a dialogue between conjectures and refutations.
