A heavy song about Heaven and the Lord by alexisonfire

I think we are embodied consciousness'.

There are certain evils in this world and asking "who am I?" is far from one. The internet contains a lot of evil, trickery and deceit but now it is dying down. There is this exclusively atheistic website that claims freedom and that the human spirit is illusory. It promotes strict atheism and claims that it is the final word on the absence of God. It took me 5 years to expose this by asking certain questions that demanded proof of the website owner's claims and since 2012 I've had a number of supernatural and metaphysical experiences in which I was introduced to the spirit world on a number of occasions.

Here is the song;

Quote:I think we are embodied consciousness'.

I have more proof that we are hairless apes (less hairy if you prefer). I think the biggest mistake one can make is to think of humanity as something special. We are an animal that shares the planet with many others, and some with whom we share a common ancestry. Our consciousness combined with greater intelligence is an evolutionary adaptation that's critical for our species survival, let alone become apex predator and top of the food chain. However this only applies to Earth and to this time in its history. Perhaps T-Rex enjoyed a stay at the top also, don't know but it would be for an entirely different set of evolutionary adaptations.

Are other animals also embodied consciousness' as you say? Prove to me that we are alone in this regard. Is not a zebra aware of its existence when chased down by a lion? Look at that, a possible reason for consciousness/awareness to develop, but I digress. Just how special are we in our own galaxy or universe? How do you know that somewhere in the vastness of space there isn't a creature that on an evolutionary scale makes us look like an amoeba? You are on an island in space and if you have no concept of just how vast distances are or just how much time 15-18 billion years is then you shouldn't go about making statements that undoubtedly are meant to be universal in nature. .

Sorry, I couldn't listen to the song because it's beyond trivial in the great scheme of things. Imagine a little mote of dust, which we are in an enormous expanse of matter and energy, deciding what's universal and beyond. It's beyond ludicrous. I think consciousness is mental, contained within the brain, and as such is susceptible to malfunction without the owner being aware.

You may think you're the most aware person on the planet . However, you are not aware of your own insignificance on a universal scale. You, me, every living thing on the planet are barely above nothing when it comes to significance. Personal self proclaimed supernatural and metaphysical experiences mean precious little from this region of the universe and who knows where else. Get over yourself.

The beauty of humanity is that we are all capable and free to think as we wish. No one can steal your thoughts..so, it's interesting to read how Z thinks about life and our insignificance, and how that is in in total opposition to Ostronomos' position.

Heheheh....

1. I am perfect therefore I cannot be imperfect
2. I am imperfect therefore I can be perfect (at least temporarily) Wink

Religion is still IMHO a convenience. Doesn't matter how you say it, paradoxically, illogically, or just plain outrageously,  as long as it fits your needs it's good to go.  Wink

The belief that humanity isn't special is part of the material illusion of the Classical world. It is based on the stagnation and laziness of one's lifestyle and opposes the creativity of both individuals and God. In other words, your opinion is based on an illusion. This illusion is like a pestilent disease that sweeps modern civilization. We need a humanity to understand exactly how God is and what is required of us.

Classical and Quantum realms are inversely related. You are talking about an exclusively Classical realm in which atheism has a remote chance of being supported. Again, a reality without God is morally insensitive and mindless, and if left to fester, its inhabits will blindly destroy themselves.

Extremely special as our brains have built in mechanisms for entering Quantum reality and that of God.

Observation and empiricism go hand in hand with fact and authority, so too with logic. You have found yourself in a grim reality of self-defeat and cynicism without God. The divine reality on the other hand which exists as the Quantum world, is one in which every act and every thought are of vital importance, since non-randomness occurs.

Only within the Matrix.

I'll assume you were in imperfect mode when you typed these responses. Should I care then?

If your avatar could speak, this is what it would say.

Big Grin

Religion is more of a problem in my view than if someone just has private spiritual beliefs. Religion tends to take things off the rails.

I like my TSF avatar more. Smile

The Internet Forum Syndrome: is a group of mental phenomena involving the presence of either religiously themed obsessive ideas, delusions or other psychosis-like experiences that are triggered by a visit to an Internet forum.

To be fair I substituted Internet forum for the city name Jerusalem in the above definition taken from Wiki. I was going to say religious forum or subforum but what affect would someone afflicted have preaching their theories on one of those forums. Much better to babble on to the unwashed heathen public.

I had done pretty well up to now with my new policy of non aggression as it pertains to religious claims by faithful enthusiasts. However I kind of lost it with Ostro. In the back of mind I'm thinking , ' I can't be the only one who can see this theory/proof of his is lost in space'. More interesting is that it appears Ostro has fallen for a new religion. Might be a good case study.

Ostro extremely fortunate to find a forum where casual speak is encouraged. I wanted to ask for citation many times but deliberately withheld. All in all it was good verbal jousting, IMHO.

Failure to comprehend a subject may result in one of two opposites: 1. self-defeat and surrender, or 2. further pursuit leading to triumph. You simply fall under the category of 1. And so any further attempt to explain the theory of metaphysics will inevitably be fruitless.
