“There is geometry in the humming of the strings, there is music in the spacing of the spheres."----Pythagoreas

“I was thinking how amazing it was that the world contained so many lives. Out in these streets people were embroiled in a thousand different matters, money problems, love problems, school problems. People were falling in love, getting married, going to drug rehab, learning how to ice-skate, getting bifocals, studying for exams, trying on clothes, getting their hair-cut and getting born. And in some houses people were getting old and sick and were dying, leaving others to grieve. It was happening all the time, unnoticed, and it was the thing that really mattered.”
― Jeffrey Eugenides, Middlesex
“Your head's like mine, like all our heads; big enough to contain every god and devil there ever was. Big enough to hold the weight of oceans and the turning stars. Whole universes fit in there! But what do we choose to keep in this miraculous cabinet? Little broken things, sad trinkets that we play with over and over. The world turns our key and we play the same little tune again and again and we think that tune's all we are.”― Grant Morrison, The Invisibles, Volume 1: Say You Want a Revolution

Subversive thought # 238:

The future is a useful fiction we have been brainwashed by the System to spend most our lives planning for and worrying about. When we're not pining away for some golden tomorrow, we are dreading and obsessing over some impending doom. But the reality is that there IS no future. There are only alternative presents. And it is only WE who can choose which of these to live in.

Subversive thought #24:

Everything we've been told, and everything we can be told, keeps us from knowing the truth. This is because knowing the truth is never conducive to being a quiet functioning member of the System. The lie is so complete and baked in that we ourselves resist tooth and nail ever knowing the truth, fearing it would destroy everything we call our world. We have evolved in ways that make us instinctively avoid knowing or even suspecting the truth just so we can keep floating along complacently in our soulless prefabricated lives.

“I don't believe anything, but I have many suspicions.”
― Robert Anton Wilson

Subversive thought #71:

Any time you have twelve or more people together agreeing on the same thing, there is no longer the possibility for truth. All you have is a consensual belief contagion freed from having any basis whatsoever on actual firsthand experience. Hence the origin and robust cancerous growth of all cults, ideologies, political parties, social movements, and mass hysterias thru out history.
"Everything one has forgotten screams for help in the dream."--Elias Canetti

“She wore black, the color of nuns and witches, the color of the loneliest corners of outer space, where gravity prevents all light from escaping, the name given to boxes tucked into airplanes, the ones that explain the disaster.”
― Lili Wright, Dancing with the Tiger

“I'm allergic to rocks hitting me in the face.”
― Mike Rowe
