Oh, I think I'm not a lone voice out there regarding my opinions of Trump, Syne. lol
In my beliefs, since you brought God into it, it doesn't seem like God would take a narcissist to perform a greater good. I don't think Trump's Presidency in other words, has anything to do with God. But, that's another matter. But, you answered openly, so thanks.
@ Seattle, I *think* Syne meant that comment for billvon, since he was replying to him? Idk.

So you don't believe god used Pontius Pilate to accomplish a greater good without transforming the individual man? If so, that's a rather odd take.
Who said Trump's presidency had anything to do with god? Like Pilate, Trump doesn't have to even believe in god for him to serve a greater purpose.
Yes, I was replying to Billvon. Unless you want to start in with the racist, homophobe, etc. ad hominems too.

I knew he was insulting someone, that much was a given so, yes, maybe it was Billvon. It wasn't Trump, that much is clear.

You inserted God into the equation with this: " My principles include the fact that god can make use of flawed people and that his personal flaws do not outweigh things like protecting human life." I'm assuming ''flawed people'' meant Trump.

And? Like Pontius Pilate, the Bible doesn't say god can only use believers. Do you think god used Pilate to accomplish a greater good? Yes or no?

Glad to see your principles are more important to you than your political views.
Don't celebrate yet. I will be voting for him next time. Last time there was zero evidence he had any genuine conservative goals. Now he has a track record of getting a lot of my political priorities accomplished. My principles include the fact that god can make use of flawed people and that his personal flaws do not outweigh things like protecting human life. Aside from the fact that all the leftist hyperbole about him being racist, xenophobic, homophobic, etc. are all overblown. They overreact simply because they think he's a big ol meanie.
Just look up comparisons of what Trump and Bernie have said. Trump calls Baltimore "rat infested" and Bernie once called it a "third world country". Trump doesn't like open borders because of crime and Bernie said it would attract too many poor people. The difference is that Bernie tries to play nice when someone objects to his language and Trump doesn't. They've said many of the same things, but leftists think one is mean...and that equates to bad, evil, racist, etc, etc.. You know, how moralizing morons think.

lol
really ?
your god made trump so what ever he does is forgiveable so that abortions should be illegal but crime and punishment for having an abortion should be gods will ?
you sound like a cult leader preaching to the cult members
real conservatives are anti death penalty

Real conservatives know the difference between a guilty criminal and an innocent baby. Immoral people want to save the former and kill the latter.

And real liberals know that women and doctors, rather than clueless politicians, should be making those decisions.
(BTW immoral people also want to tear families apart at the border, put the kids in cages and then let some of them die of neglect. Just sayin.)

I believe that if bad choices are made, God can work all things for good. Pilate had ''free will,'' just like you and I have free will.
Do you think that Trump is bringing about a greater good for society? Have you been following the debates, Syne? If you were forced to choose one of the Democratic candidates - who would you choose?
