Look at what showed up in my upstairs gameroom this morning. Way cuter than the usual bats that I get. The windows were closed. I opened the front door downstairs to let in some cool air. He must have come in through the front door and then flew up there. I opened the windows and took off the screen and then he let me pick him up. He flew off unharmed. I wish I could have gotten a better picture but he was getting too scrared. He was so dang cute though.

Currently 48 hours into a rat-under-the-floor situation. Mrs C2 has bailed out to the rather primitive conditions at the bungalow leaving me to 'deal with it'. I've given it some water - I'd rather deal with a live rat than a dead one. Plan A is that it comes out and gets caught in the (humane) rat trap and is taken to a rat friendly location some miles away. There is currently no plan B. Time passes.

I think I've just caught Hiesenbergs Rat. The trapdoor has closed but there is no rat in the trap.

Shrodinger’s Cat must have grabbed it. Are you certain there’s no rat?

Yep, whoever coined the term "cat burglar" sure got his animals crossed or mixed up. A few weeks ago I tried to catch a pack rat by using a potato as bait. It instead clung to the inside top of the cage trap to cross the trigger mechanism overhead. Picked up the potato and carried it back the same way without tripping anything.

Knew I'd encounter something reinforcing the idea of owls as cute pets again within less than 18 hours. The parade of petty coincidences continues.

Owls are the cats of the air

Not really following the US election too closely but OMG, Biden can’t speak. Makes Trump look like Abe Lincoln. At least deaf voters have someone trying to make sense of what Joe says.

I am sure we have all watched a woman holding hands with two children standing in the rain waiting for a break in the traffic so she can cross a road. At least ten cars have passed by before she can cross, on this occasion I happen to be driving the eleventh car and create the break in the flow of traffic so she can cross safely.
Edit - Babe was a comment about the girl attempting to translate Biden into D&D.
