Are people really so bored that they'd go to such lengths to fool people into thinking their homes are haunted? lol

That video scared me, just the same.  Rolleyes

Note the plates flying up in an arc out of the opened cabinet. That's nothing string pulling could ever accomplish.

Again, all of that is possible if you understand trajectories. It's just a matter of where a string is pulling from.

I understand the trajectory of an object jerked by a horizontal string--it scoots over the edge and falls to the ground. Never would it fly up into the air like we see these objects doing. These objects are being thrown. Notice that arc on the orange.

I would love to, but wouldn't be afraid. As a teen I got into plenty of spooky places. Spent a night in a cemetery, and even broke into an old closed hospital at night, where we walked down Zippo-lit hallways lined with pitch black open doors. Was more afraid of the homeless/druggies that might have been there than any ghost. Hell, even if all these videos were true, it's not like they really hurt people. Just a klutzy juggling act.

Like aliens, I would love to be proven wrong about ghosts. Who doesn't want more magic in the world? But I'm not going to convince myself of things that don't exist.
Gotcha. But, don't know if ghosts are ''magical,'' aren't they unsettled spirits? As a person who again believes in an after life, the concept of paranormal activity doesn't make [logical] sense to me, because why would a ghost find itself ''between'' worlds?

No..that's just your made up bullshit. No evidence of strings, pulleys, or string pullers. Just a plain kitchen and some objects that are thrown around by a poltergeist.

Sure, especially for YouTube views...and the passive income of ad revenue they generate.

Anything beyond the mundane is "magical", i.e. "beautiful or delightful in such a way as to seem removed from everyday life".

If those arguing the existence of ghosts were better versed or smart enough they'd bring up psychic imprinting, where poltergeists aren't actually ghosts, but just past psychic imprints on the environment playing them selves out in present time. Or even just unbeknownst psychic phenomenon from a living person. Not that I buy into either, but a smarter paranormal atheist would have these excuses ready to go...to avoid the whole atheist but believes in spirits bit.

I think the only psychic phenomenon going on here is the mental state of those so eager to believe.

If ghosts exists, I believe they'd only be here lingering around their own dead body, having relied on and identified with that body so thoroughly in life. And even then, most bodies eventually decay.

No evidence of invisible spirits either.  Angel
But most people have seen strings and pulleys before.

Faking poltergeist using video editing. Starts about 3:45 in, props required, set up then video editing followed by unedited version and finishing with final product. You'll see strings in the masked version but you won't in the unmasked version as he calls it. He admits this takes time and for all intents some computer skills are required.

That's it? Wow..I'm convinced! lol!

It's exactly as I said. You don't get any arcing of the trajectory with string pulled objects, which either get dragged to the edge and then drop or get jerked in a straight trajectory. With the authentic video, we see the objects being hurled up into the air and the curve of their trajectory. You just can't simulate this with strings.

I'm well familiar with image editing on less costly and even free software, but to do it manually for each frame in a video or animated file is indeed unbelievably exhausting. There are many adjustments that can be done in the batch processing that an average graphics editor might provide, but not the removal slash adding of details and objects done automatically.

This "how to" example was made back in 2011(?), so there may have been advancements in more expensive "household" programs since then that might finally be approaching the caliber of what's used in cinema work. Where automatically keeping track of and performing editing on assigned manipulated details and objects in each frame would more likely be available thanks to cutting-edge resources, AI algorithms, and a huge budget... to significantly speed things up.

No evidence of strings, pulleys or string pullers. Just solid evidence of a poltergeist, of which there are numerous and famous historical accounts:

Wait, you've never seen a string or a pulley? But you have seen a poltergeist, in person? O_o

Don't mind MR, he doesn't understand basic physics...nor even science as it stood in ancient Greece.

Here's some more videos of this guy known only as Mellowb1rd in his house catching more poltergeist activity. In one video he shows the dubious results of using overlays to cover up strings, and the failed use of a green suit while lifting chairs. Apparently he responds to alot of Youtube comments. In any case, this only adds to his credibility and to the reality of his poltergeist phenomenon:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJoCAoLvly8

Here's a video of the activity occurring while he's standing in the kitchen! Again, where are the strings and string pullers?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F7SBWJc4itw

And apparently he's had glasses shatter on his Ouija board several times. Here's one of those times. After that several objects are thrown at him! Whatever this entity is, it shows intent and malevolence.
