Democrat hypocrisy

A quick Google search today turned up:

Democrats’ hypocrisy on impeachment

Which is it? Is President Trump an unfit character potentially implicated in multiple crimes? Or is the evidence against him so thin that the future of his presidency properly should be determined in the next election? As it is on a lot of things, the Democrats’ message is jumbled on the question of impeachment.

Leaders within the Democratic Party, including House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler (N.Y.) and House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam B. Schiff (Calif.), have suggested that the evidence against Trump is so obvious and strong that impeachment proceedings will just be a formality. But House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) told The Post that impeaching the president is “just not worth it.” Does Pelosi think going forward with impeachment is elective? There are either high crimes and misdemeanors or there are not high crimes and misdemeanors. Impeachment is not optional.

The Dems obviously think that their rhetoric about impeachment either doesn't have legs or would hurt them in the 2020 elections. So either they have been lying to their base or they don't really care how corrupt Trump may be...as long as they win elections. Either is pretty damning.

Elizabeth Warren Proves She's a Huge Hypocrite When It Comes to Big Tech

The Massachusetts Democrat, who is powering her presidential campaign with a bold proposal to break up the likes of Amazon, Google and Facebook, in September accepted a $2,700 contribution from Sheryl Sandberg, Facebook’s chief operating officer. But Sandberg, whose donation went unnoticed at the time, was just the biggest name from Silicon Valley to give to the senator: Warren took at least $90,000 from employees of Amazon, Google and Facebook alone between 2011 and 2018.

The figure includes only donors who gave at least $200 over either of her two Senate campaigns; and just those who listed their employer. Warren is carrying over millions of dollars she raised for the Senate in the last cycle to her 2020 presidential run.

While the donations flowed to Warren’s committee, she was accusing Google, Amazon as well as Apple of using their powerful platforms to “lock out smaller guys and newer guys," including direct competitors. She’s also criticized the huge sums Silicon Valley firms spend on federal lobbying and taken on Amazon and others over their treatment of workers.

Democrat Hypocrisy and Socialism

The old, tired, failed call for socialism has been raised by Democrats again as a panacea for the problems of those who struggle financially. Socialism has never worked as promised anywhere, and socialism has often created nightmares and impoverished once happy lands. How, then, can anyone in politics with a straight face offer the stinking carcass of socialism as a cure for any of our nation's problems?

The answer is clear: Democrats proposing socialism in any of its myriad incarnations are phony and care nothing, really, about the poor at all. In fact, curing poverty is the last thing these politicians want. Creating resentment is what they seek. If voters were happy and in control of their own prosperity, then who would need these Democrat candidates? Indeed, who would need the political party to which these candidates belong?
...
Second, nearly all of the Democrats who have tossed their hats in the ring for 2020 or who are likely to do so are within that category of the "already rich." Indeed, most of these Democrats have net worths in the millions, and some of them are very rich, indeed. Raising taxes on the income of those hardworking Americans trying to enter the same level of wealth as these Democrats already possess is defending the rich from rivals.

Third, if these Democrats felt that the income tax system is unfair and that the rich are paying too little, these Democrats could voluntarily forgo deductions, income-averaging, and other parts of the federal income tax system that allows an individual to pay less in taxes.

The Astonishing Hypocrisy of Media Matters

If there’s one thing we can absolutely count on in our post-ethical partisan era, it’s that for every scandal, there is, in short order, a similar — sometimes astoundingly similar — scandal on the other side. Sometimes, the comparisons are just so on-the-nose that you have a hard time believing they’re real. Remember when Virginia’s Democratic lieutenant governor hired Brett Kavanaugh’s lawyers to defend him from allegations of sexual assault? Remember when his accuser hired Christine Blasey Ford’s attorneys? Remember when the leader of a #MeToo organization called Time’s Up resigned to . . . vigorously defend her son against allegations of sexual misconduct?

Well, here we are again, and this one is a doozy. It turns out that Google works for conservative organizations as well, and Daily Caller News Foundation reporter Peter Hasson found out that the president of Media Matters has his own checkered online past.

But Carusone has his own track record of inflammatory statements. Carusone’s now-defunct blog included degrading references to “trannies,” “jewry” and Bangladeshis.

Media Matters is the outlet that regularly tries to get Republican TV personalities fired by digging up decade-old stuff.

If it's not hypocrisy, it's ignorance.

Democrats Demand Right to Life for Kittens, But Block Bills to Stop Infanticide

Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-Ore.) announced earlier this month that he is sponsoring a Senate bill that would prevent kittens from being killed after they are used in research, NBC News reported.

Though he is backing a bill to protect kittens, Merkley voted against the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act. Democrats successfully blocked the bill, which would have extended protections for newborn babies born as a result of a botched abortion, in February.
...
"What do cats have that newborn babies don't?" Perkins asked. His answer was succinct enough: "Democrats' support."

Calling Merkley's bill "one of the sickest ironies no one is talking about," Perkins pointed out the hypocrisy that Democrats would strive to save the lives of kittens, but not newborn babies.

"I can't wait to see some of these politicians standing on debate platforms next year telling the American people that when it comes to protecting living things: We chose cats over kids," he wrote.

Pelosi is outraged at leaked plan from Trump admin to punish 'sanctuary cities' — by busing more migrants to them

A plan to retaliate against the political foes of the president by busing illegal immigrants to 'sanctuary cities' was leaked by whistleblowers on Thursday, and Democrats are outraged.

"The extent of this administration's cynicism and cruelty cannot be overstated," said Ashley Etienne, a spokeswoman for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.).

"Using human beings — including little children — as pawns in their warped game to perpetuate fear and demonize immigrants is despicable," she concluded.

So you mean to tell me that sending illegal immigrants to cities where they will be supported and protected from deportation is cynical, cruel, and somehow perpetuates fear...even though those cities are the most welcoming?

Sounds like any leftist should really find that plan to be the most compassionate thing that could be done. So Pelosi is obviously the one playing a cynical, political game. She would prefer illegal immigrants NOT be shielded from deportation, as long as that means she can use it as rhetorical fodder against Trump.

That Pelosi video wasn't put out as a joke. It was put out as an attempt to prove there is something wrong with her. Trump even said there's something wrong with her in a news conference. Just another lying attempt to smear the reputation of someone they hate.

No, that's just how those with Trump Derangement Syndrome see it. Republicans have a better sense of humor. Evidence you talking everything Trump says dead seriously.

I'm kind of saddened that politicians on both sides, are mud slinging and calling each other names, like this. It's really unprofessional that people with such lofty titles and responsibilities could digress to childish antics like this. ''But but...he/she started it!''
