So... I can't give you the correct answer because someone else already has.
What a strange game.
And as for this:
Quote:Vacuous posturing...it's how beta males make themselves feel better online.
I feel I shouldn't need to point out the inherent problem with this statement.

"...I might even be able to name the websites Syne has been reading."
You haven't even named a single website. Maybe you forgot what you actually claimed? Or is one of those sites YouTube?
Lemme guess, is Google the other site? O_o
And do I really need to define "vacuous" for you?
I've already offered to spoon feed you some of the sites I read on the subject. Just giving you a fair chance to make good on your claim.

Syne, seriously. It's a very minor, minor thing you've decided to take issue with here.
For the record, Peterson is exactly who I had in mind when I made that comment. I probably shouldn't have used the word "website" because it seems to have triggered you for some reason, but in my defence I was somewhat inebriated at the time.
I can only hope you have a similar excuse for your... well, position, or whatever it is you'd like to call it.
I just spent half an hour on that Chateau Heartiste one you mentioned very early on.
I'm not going to remember it with any great pleasure... or, more probably, at all.

Not sure how you expect others to know you're posting inebriated. No issue, just seeing if you're trolling.
I've only read that one article on that site (from Googling about this OP), so you apparently know more about it than I do.

Heh. I like telling people I was drunk, it gives them an escape hatch. I was, though. Very.
Still, the interesting thing for me is to observe how other people react to it. Americans, in particular. You guys are seriously messed up, you know that?
But, Syne, given you are the one who used that website, you are the one who brought it to everyone's attention, and you are the one who is prepared, apparently, to use just about any source you can find to support your opinions... I'm a little nonplussed.
If you've pointed out a website, and then say I'm know more about it than you do when I actually read it, then... well, it seems we have a little credibility problem, don't we?
And by "we", of course, I do mean you.

Did you read the sixteen commandments of poon?

The Marquis Wrote:My computer keys are backlit, and the characters glow orange in the dark.
…but some are more equal than others.
You should have told me. You should have told me that we can never be friends. I did not know that.

I hadn't read the 16 commandments, but I have now. Thanks for that.
Painful world we live in, isn't it. And is that because the 16 commandments are true, or because they aren't?
You tell me.
That last bit is something I'm struggling to find words for.

Here's to the snake!

It's a long story. I'm sure Syne will be happy to fill you in.

If you think that's messed up, that says a lot more about you, mate.

Au contraire, you obviously use your judgement of the source to evaluate the individual info, while I evaluate the info on its own merit. Thinking that the source taints all data it relates is a genetic fallacy. As if a habitual liar telling you the earth is round must mean it's flat.
If you can't judge info on it's own merit, that's your personal problem. No idea why you'd want to go down the rabbit hole on that site. Maybe masochism.
