Michael Hedges' *Ritual Dance*: various interpretations

Michael Hedges considered himself to be a composer who just happened to predominately play on the guitar. But the ensemble of techniques and styles he brought together in his playing influenced a generation of guitarists that arose during his life and came after his death in 1997. I even recollect a science fiction novel published back in the early '90s that featured a character who was playing Hedges' works centuries later on another planet. Will Ackerman coincidentally introduced him as "The guitarist from another planet" on an acoustic guitar special that PBS aired circa 1985.
