VIDEO EXCERPTS: Starfleet Academy got canceled again. Oh, yeah. You could tell just by the grin on my face that I love this. It's called Schadenfreude. If you don't know the word, it's a good one, look it up. And that's where I'm at with this whole Starfleet Academy situation. Now, this is not just me being vindictive. Hey, a little bit vindictive, but it's not for a bad reason.
They intentionally made a Star Trek that Star Trek fans would hate. Remember earlier in the year -- because the internet forgets things every 2 weeks -- that these people went out there and called us all bigots and trolls and racists for not paying attention to the show and not liking it. They demanded that we like it; otherwise, we are not real Star Trek fans. They did this. They went out there and said that.
And then I actually had to deal personally with people like Robert Picardo, who plays the Emergency Medical Hologram Doctor, personally attacking me. I had to deal with Karim Diané, the gay Klingon actor, personally attacking me on Facebook because I was criticizing a TV show.
I've invited both of them to talk on the channel. I have no problem talking to people, and these individuals do have problems with that. They don't want anything other than the narrative with the capital N out there, and that's exactly why Starfleet Academy failed. The ratings were terrible, as we know.
We watched the premiere on YouTube, and we watched Nerdrotic sit with a Spock doll on his chair and live-stream that and actually get more views than the live-stream premiere. It was very, very embarrassing for them. And it is embarrassing.
We watched the Star Trek Axanar premiere -- a new documentary --actually get more YouTube views than Starfleet Academy was getting in its first day before they even took it down. They took it down. They were embarrassed by these moments because they know that real Star Trek does exist.
They actually wanted to turn the fans away and try to get this new "modern audience" to show up. And the modern audience didn't show up. Now, it's getting even worse. It's funny stuff.
[...] So what am I talking about? Starfleet Academy. We know it was canceled, but season 2 is still going to debut. Yet the series is canceled; they're not bringing it back. All the sets have been sold. It's not even possible to get a third year at this point. Alex Kurtzman's contract is over.
[...] So, what else is there? Well, they decided to try a Starfleet Academy comic book. I kid you not. Yes, it's got LGBTQ inclusiveness. Well, I'm sad to report for those fans of this comic book out there...
