"Citizen Vigilante" takes over X and trolls "Supergirl" (video excerpts): Citizen Vigilante is on X for free, while director Uwe Boll trolls Supergirl. [...] So, he's saying don't see Supergirl, see Citizen Vigilante. ... The movie Hollywood doesn't want you to see. It's banned in Germany. And apparently the search results from Germany looking for Citizen Vigilante are off the charts.

But Elon Musk actually made the movie available for free on X for a brief period. I love that Boll is trolling Supergirl in promoting Citizen Vigilante. What do you think of this? What do you think of Uwe's plan here?

[...] I love an upstart indie film because Uwe Boll basically paid for this movie himself. Paid for it, released it himself, put it out there. He's promoting. He's been going on a lot of podcasts. ... He's seeing like the reaction to Supergirl is wildly negative. So he's seizing an opportunity. The views on Citizen Vigilante are 6.4 million currently and climbing. My guess is over 10 million. ... Sure, he made it to make money.

[...] But it's also ripped from the headlines, the actual headlines. Not the sanitized version we get from the mainstream media all the time, or the reports from the UK. It's ripped from the non-sanitized ones...

Anthony Cumia gets brutally honest about 'Citizen Vigilante' (video intro): Everybody's talking about Citizen Vigilante, by Uwe Boll. He's a guy who has made a few movies over the years. They're not stellar movies. Rampage was pretty good. That was crazy. It's about a guy who goes on a rampage. [...] I saw that years ago.

And then this Citizen Vigilante comes out, and it got a little bit of news before people really saw it because Armie Hammer is in it. This is the first thing anyone has put Armie Hammer in since his cancelling.

His cancelling was really stupid. He wrote some emails, some messages, some posts, whatever it was, where he said he liked cannibalism. [...] And then a couple of girls said they didn't have a good dating experience with him. No crime, no charges, no nothing. But he was dropped like the proverbial hot potato from any acting gigs.

And it got to the point where it was pretty bad. I remember maybe a couple of years ago, there were articles, and TMZ was talking about how he was broke and had to sell his truck because he couldn't afford the payments on it. So he was just scraping by, and then this Boll guy decides to put him in Citizen Vigilante and it's getting a lot of talk.

Doesn't necessarily mean it's good. That's for sure. But sometimes bad movies getting talk is all they really need.

Bought and paid for by the Die Linke party, actually. Sometimes you've got to build a German Roger Corman or low-grade filmmaker up to get an Elon to bite the bait. Wink

Notice the character assassination in lieu of any defense of Supergirl.

From what little I've seen, Uwe Boll usually makes pretty crap movies too. The difference seems to be that his don't typically have any agenda. So he's using what little leverage he can. Topical, not corporate Hollywood slop, generating controversy. I probably wont watch it. I think Armie Hammer was very overrated long before he was cancelled.
