You (Syne) probably think he's lucky he lives in a free country - actually it's the other way round. Mindless zombies following the leader is what destroys free countries.

Does that make you feel better? To assume that people who disagree with you are mindless followers?
Or is it just knee-jerk projection?

The current American killed-in-action count now stands at six. Three were killed at the Army sustainment activity in Kuwait, a fourth wounded in that same strike later died of his/her wounds. And today it's reported that the bodies of two missing soldiers were found in the rubble. They all appear to have been located in a temporary prefabricated building that offered no protection. The idea seems to have been that they would move to a nearby bunker when an attack warning was received. Except that there was no warning before the strike that killed them.

The big news today is that two Iranian drones hit the US embassy compound in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. Luckily non-essential personnel had already been evacuated and the building that the drones hit was unoccupied, so there were no casualties. The Saudis say that they intercepted several more drones headed for the Riyadh diplomatic quarter.

Kalshi has commercials literally promoting that it enables people to bet on anything. Democrats have gambling addictions, too, but MSM is selective about highlighting what they are, or only makes political distinctions when it feels MAGA or Republicans are involved in an _X_ betting activity.

Let me explain this 4 the miss-informed. As u can see, these r the condensation streaks from the missile(s) that the IRGC (Iran troops)fired off. U can see the streaks from 2 missiles going up; & as u can see 1 missile "malfunctioned" & can back down. Where did it come down at u might ask. It came down directly on top of the school. This was friendly fire. & Per usual, Let's just blame Trump. Iranian troops & their out dated equipment cause this catastrophe. Sad story, The End!

The US consulate in Dubai (in the United Arab Emirates) has been hit by one or more Iranian drones and is currently on fire. There's no word as of yet about casualties. After the attack on the US embassy in Saudi Arabia yesterday, it's starting to look like Iran is targeting US diplomatic sites in the Persian Gulf region.

While Iran continues to fire ballistic missiles at more distant Israel, their number appears to be slowly declining. This is probably the result of US and Israeli air strikes targeting the missiles and their support infrastructure back home in Iran.

Drones are a different story. Iran has thousands of them and they don't require much support infrastructure. They can be launched from the back of trucks disguised to look like civilian transport. But most of the drones have shorter effective range, which might be the reason why Iran seems to be hitting the nearby Gulf Arabs hardest.

Dubai has just announced that there were no casualties at the US consulate and the fire has already been extinguished. Apparently the drone impacted a parking lot next to the consulate building and the fire was burning cars.

After the Iranian drone attack on Britain's Akrotiri air base in Cyprus, and after an initially confused response by London, the UK has dispatched the Type-45 destroyer HMS Dragon to the eastern Mediterranean to provide air cover. Its capabilities are roughly equivalent to the US Arleigh Burke class destroyers, able to intercept everything from drones to ballistic missiles in space.

And France's President Macron, always eager to beat Britain's Starmer in disorganization, gave a televised address today and announced that the French nuclear aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle and its escort ships will be heading to the eastern Mediterranean (after it was first reported a couple of days ago, then officially denied... to be fair though, the initial report might have been a leak of what was then an operational secret.)

And reportedly French Rafale jet fighters are already operating in the UAE alongside the UAE air force, flying anti-drone combat air patrols, while British Eurofighter Typhoons are flying out of Qatar doing the same. While the British and French still seem to be refusing to attack Iran, they do seem to be helping by picking up some of the air defense burden for regional allies.

What's more, the British MOD announced this morning that a British F-35B stealth fighter shot down a drone, over Jordan reportedly, that might have been targeting the vital Muwaffaq air base. This is the first combat kill by Britain's new F-35's. I'm guessing that the British F-35's are flying from Akrotiri.
