It's all just hyped up theatrics and a ploy to stay in the 24 hour news cycle. That way Trump can brag later on, "Look how I sent in troops to curb anarchy and crime." Meanwhile all is calm and quiet here in Portland. lol

There's something oddly disturbing about a government that relabels a group of its citizens just so they can legally go after them and arrest them. If just being anti-fascist now equates to being domestic terrorists, then we are all in trouble.

Reports that Portland antifa members are hurredly deleting their social media presences. Suggestions that activists arm themselves, have go-bags and be prepared to move to safe-houses or leave town quickly if necessary. There are multiple calls for violent armed confrontation, but unclear how much of that is just anger and defiance talking. Reports that antifa reinforcements are inbound from Seattle and LA.

Things might be fairly quiet in Portland now, but it will be interesting to see what happens after sundown tonight and in coming days.

You know, it would be nice if all the millions Trump is spending on sending troops to American cities to stand around on street corners would be spent instead on something like..oh I don't know...getting the homeless in these cities much needed healthcare, food, and shelter? As it stands now, federal troops will soon be descending on the Portland ICE bldg to act as overpaid security guards to prevent vandalism. They're not even allowed to arrest anyone. All this just to make Trump look like some hard ass fighter of crime and what he now redefined as "domestic terrorism". It's such a trumped up farce.
