Trump's imaginary "War"

Like I've said countless times, you're obviously out of touch with reality.
It's not ICE's job to do crowd control. That is a distraction from their mission... that local police should be handling, but POS Dems don't allow.

Don't like the troops in Portland? Talk to your local politicians. It's their fault.

Military personel standing on street corners for nothing only bothers me because it wastes millions of tax dollars, embarrasses members of the military, and is only being done to make Trump look like some hard ass fighting crime and protesters. There are more important things for these people to do than be used as Trump's personal political pawns.

Bullshit. If you support Democrats, you're all for bloated government spending... just on your own pet agendas.
Again, you're completely out of touch, ignoring massive assaults on law enforcement over the past year. Assaults the local police forces couldn't, or wouldn't be allowed to, handle... much less the far less staffed federal law enforcement spread across the entire country.

Oh was I not clear? I support not wasting millions in taxpayer money on having military personnel stand around on street corners. Is there anything NOT supportable about that?

Sitrep on the current Battle of the Federal ICE Building in Portland as of Wednesday night. "It's getting bad folks. Maybe 20 rude hecklers and some even with megaphones! One was dressed in a chicken costume! For God's sake Mr. Trump! Send troops STAT and save us all! Over..."

PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) tell KATU News that six people were arrested Tuesday night.

In a statement from Tricia McLaughlin, the Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs at the Department of Homeland Security, it says that the six people arrested are facing charges for assaulting law enforcement.

Wow..just 6 protesters arrested for "assault"? As in you know pushing or laying a hand on an officer? Yeah, we all know how that works. DHS obviously needed some sort of "incident" to justify sending in the troops. And they took it and ran with it. Even sent one officer to the ER. Probably for a scratch.

Meanwhile the rude heckling continues unabated...lol

We'll see what the courts decide about this tomorrow.

Courts already ruled that National Guard can be deployed to protect federal agents.

Read the news dumbass:

"Nathan Vasquez, Multnomah County's district attorney, has added his support to Oregon's lawsuit challenging the legality of President Donald Trump's National Guard mobilization in Portland.

Vasquez filed a declaration Thursday afternoon in support of the state's temporary restraining order, saying, "I have closely monitored the situation at the S. Macadam ICE facility this year and have not seen any activity that, in my professional opinion, is even close to beyond the capabilities of the Portland Police Bureau to manage."

He added, "I believe based on my personal experience on the ground in the 2020 unrest that the deployment of federal personnel not trained in local policing to the streets of Portland risks creating, not mitigating, the very conditions it is alleged to target."

Attorney General Dan Rayfield filed the lawsuit jointly with the city of Portland in U.S. District Court on Sunday. State leaders argue that Trump's action violates multiple federal and constitutional protections, including the Posse Comitatus Act, which prohibits military involvement in civilian law enforcement, and the 10th Amendment, which reserves law enforcement powers to the states.

The original federal judge, Michael H. Simon, recused himself from the case Thursday at the Trump administration's behest. The new federal judge is Karin Immergut, a Trump appointee and the former U.S. Attorney for the District of Oregon.

An initial hearing in the case, set for Friday, will likely focus on the state's request for a temporary restraining order."
