Yes, it is terrorism. Ben Shapiro is doing a live stream, saying that open air events like this are likely over. Ben says he always thought the level of security, and security having him wear a bulletproof vest, were overkill... until now.
It's reported that Kash Patel says they've caught the shooter. Might be the initial person they took into custody.

I don't think anyone would stand that close to a potential target if they were working with a shooter, unless they knew they were extremely good and wouldn't miss.
I would go with the hypothesis that the person who asked the question could well have been streaming using a phone while asking the question and had pre-stated what question they were going to their streaming audience. This would mean one of their stream viewers could of been the shooter, which also means the shooter would of had a phone on them to watch the stream.

A shot like that, at 200 yds, is a fairly skilled shot.

Hopefully they got it right, this time, whoever it is. If the assassin isn't identified and goes uncaptured, this will definitely become conspiracy fodder. And if the suspect is a Harvey Oswald "not a good enough marksman" type (patsy), it could develop into that yet.

They just had a news conference and they say that they have a "person of interest" in custody. They confirmed that he isn't the initial guy, but they wouldn't say that he was definitely the shooter, nor would they say that a weapon was recovered. Just 'the investigation is ongoing' stuff.
It sounds to me like eye-witnesses reported that the shooter was dressed all in black, and this guy was pulled over dressed all in black. Unclear why they pulled him over. I really hope that they put all the pieces together and confirm that he is indeed their guy.
One shot, one fatal hit, from a considerable distance, does suggest that the shooter was skilled with a rifle. That might not be unusual in Utah, which has lots of hunters.

I really hope his wife and 1 and 3 year old daughters were not in attendance.

The luxury of firing from a roof and having time to set up and aim properly, if that description of his location turns out to be the case. Loudspeakers would carry what Kirk was talking about, so he could just wait till the topic ventured into transgender shooters.

While I deplore that Charlie got killed, I don't think he is any sort of hero because of it. In fact he is quoted as saying, “I think empathy is a made up New Age term that does a lot of damage.” I can't comprehend how anyone could believe that. Hopefully he has just learned otherwise in the afterlife.

Empathy literally does damage. Empathy for the Charlotte train stabber let him out of jail without bail. Empathy for the mentally ill allows them to harm others, like the Minneapolis Catholic school shooting. When empathy is allowed to override reason, it is bad. What Kirk accomplished in his life was heroic, but leftists will never acknowledge that. He was a warrior for free speech and open political dialog.

You're confusing empathy with mercy, which is a Christian virtue. They're not the same. Empathy is the ability to understand a person and why they do what they do, not excusing the crimes they committed. If you are incapable of empathy, you are pretty much a sociopath using people for your own advantage. Empathy is the ultimate basis for all morality. Remember the Golden Rule? But then I'm not surprised that is lost on you.
