LA protests spreading, will converge with those against Army Birthday celebration

Parody Alcove: The protests are spreading to other cities and states, so it looks like this is another George Floyd summer-long spectacle improvised by the grassroots elements of the Party. With the mainstream media joyously promoting and praising the holy revival. Come Friday and Saturday, these protests will blend in with those against the Army Anniversary Parade, for a while.

A problem is that, unlike 2020, it's not even a mid-term election year. Everyone may be prematurely tuckered-out 12 months from now, and the streets of Blue cities so trashed that even the Democrat mayors could become reluctant about hosting and repeating the festivities.

But on the bright side, most sitting Democrat representatives aren't running in Red State communities. They don't have to care about meeting the latter standards in terms of being re-elected. They could even promote the idea of their Blue States leaving the US and becoming part of Mexico, and it would purely make their existing voting base all the more enthusiastic. So all this pessimism about optics for Democrats is missing the point that such is not a negative with respect to those who keep them in office.

VIDEO EXCERPTS: The protests are now spreading beyond LA. [...] So if this thing continues to climb, I think that's going to be a bigger, broader problem for the Democrats. Because you either have to be with them or against them And that's the hard part, how do you side with your base?

I've talked to actually some sort of mainline Democrats, and asked them the same question. They feel like they're trapped, because they know where their base is. They know what they have to say, but they don't want to look like they're out of touch with reality.

[...] There are protests on Saturday [...] What are they protesting?

It's my understanding that some are about the parade itself...

[...] I was going to wait till tomorrow to touch on this, but I do think that this is where this thing goes off the hinges. There is a celebration that is going to be on Saturday, and who knows now -- because of weather -- how it's going to the DC area. Looks a little shaky and stormy.

But if these guys go over the top and are protesting what appears to be a celebration of the United States Army, and its service and sacrifice for the last 250 years, then they're going to continue to shred any sense of normalcy that was left in the Democratic Party.

[...] He's not talked about his birthday. He's not talked about himself. It's the Democrats who are making everything about him...
