She never said they were extraterrestrials. She merely says they are other than us. Which leaves the door open to anything--interdimensionals, time travelers, any form of non-human intelligence. She obviously studied them enough to know about the advanced nature of their craft and their supernormal maneuvering capabilities as all UFO enthusiasts are. That is the basis for believing them to not be human. A totally supported inference.
