Quote:I was worried that presenting the study might give some people more reason to believe that shiny green orbs are sentient or under sentient control and that looks to be the case here.

It would probably help you immensely if you actually read the articles you post here:

From the article:

"We hypothesize, based on factual evidence [1]-[3] [45] [46], that some plasmoids may be sentient and conscious of their surroundings and engage in purposeful interactions, i.e. they may represent a fourth domain of life [1]-[3] [46]. As documented in NASA film-footage compiled by the first author [1] [46], and as documented via freeze frames reproduced in this report, some plasmoids engage in complex behaviors and what could be construed as curiosity and evidence of intelligence. Moreover, astronauts have reported that glowing plasma-like entities have appeared outside shuttle windows, often traveling from window to window—as if looking inside and, in so doing, upsetting the crew [1] [46]—and glowing plasma has entered homes, businesses [11] [13] [47] [48], and even through cockpit windows; in one instance it then slowly moved about the interior of the plane as if reconnoitering [49]. Moreover, plasma-UAP encountered in the troposphere have been accused of “surveillance”, mimicry, “toying with” and harassing aircraft and so on [13] [40] [41] [50]-[54]. As reported by Navy Cmdr. David Fravor, the UAP he and his fellow pilots encountered, behaved with conscious intention: “it was aware we were there”.

LOL. Is ‘fire’ alive, based on factual evidence? It moves, consumes, multiplies. The Sun is a rather large ball of plasma, alive or not?

I had that report on the rocks for a bit, hesitant to use it, because it changes the whole dynamic. Aerial phenomena no longer thought of as alien machines, probes, phenomena etc but actual living things at the point of being sentient. Quite a leap! But you have been soundly thrashed trying to promote the alien hypothesis and the mere thought of living orbs/shapes gives you a whole new bandwagon to jump on. Not just orbs but ghosts and other apparitions become living plasma energy…..you have more material in that report to help your cause than anything you’ve ever had.

Really? When did that happen? Especially since I have been promoting the interdimensional hypothesis for years now..

LOL I have been posting on sentient plasmoids and earth lights for years now and have posted lots of videos of them as well. Here's a thread I posted on it in 2015: https://www.scivillage.com/thread-1218.html

I even posted that very article you posted about a month ago:

https://www.scivillage.com/thread-17013-...l#pid68330

So nope..no bandwagon jumping here. You really should pull your head out your ass before climbing on your soapbox.

Ya, you’ve been reporting but in this case an actual study that appears to support your ramblings. That’s new. Personally can’t recall anything you’ve reported other than unproven eyewitness accounts.

I just told you I already posted that article you posted a month ago:

https://www.scivillage.com/thread-17013-...l#pid68330

IOW...There's nothing new here. It's been known for a long time.

Yeah..that's one of the longterm side effects of having your head up your ass. I'm not about to repost all the videos of orb uaps I've posted here.

Ya, I missed it. Say what you want. One gets to a point where no one cares what you post because frankly, it’s mostly BS examples of whatever weirdness you’re spouting that day.

You know, I don’t think anybody is saying you’re 100% out to lunch, all they want is for you to back up your claims. Do that and I think you’d be more accepted but maybe you like controversy, idk. I’m getting up there in age and I remember when I first became interested in science that one of the things I really wished for before I die was to have life elsewhere in the universe become reality. Doesn’t look like it’s going to happen. You see, I like many others would be thrilled to actually know life exists elsewhere. Unproven claims aren’t doing it.

IMO you need a new approach. You don’t try so I’m thinking you’re just another nobody who thinks he knows it all. Yet I think it would be really cool if someone could prove plasma orbs were alive. Until then just speculation.

No.. I'm not taking advice from someone who doesn't care enough about the topic to even know what I've posted about it nor looked at any of the videos I've provided. Nor from someone who only wants to derail an innocent thread I posted on anomalous phenomenon for whatever disgruntled personal reason. I will just keep doing what I've always been doing for many years here. The record speaks for itself.

Yes, the broken record of the voices in your head do speak for themselves.

I've been 99.9% convinced of the existence of alien technology since 1980 when I heard an eye witness account of glowing orb behaviour (seen in the 1950s). My 0.1% doubt lies in the possibility of there being a 'natural' explanation .. so far I'm not convinced there is a natural explanation so I have to go with aliens. The only real proof has to come from catching one and finding out what makes it tick - I strongly suspect there won't be anything making it tick which just makes the alien explanation more alien.

Drones have now made it so easy to fake ufos that almost any 'evidence' can be discarded as a hoax. While I find possible sightings as interesting I admit I dismiss most as hoax or error and what remains as insufficient evidence of 'anything'.
