Great! Four more years of lies, misinformation, stupidity, and embarrassing obnoxious behavior. The world must be laughing at us. This is so humiliating.

I wouldn't think the win was legitimate anyway. Unfortunately a majority of the tech heads (SysOps) would of fallen for that bro culture nonsense, so the votes probably rigged. I wouldnt' suggest you storm Capital Hill however.... remember there is legal routes to tie up the loose ends and thats likely what will be in effect now. Edit: It can be suggested the election was bought. The initial "Advertisment" of Bitcoins being supported prior, and the sudden increase in prices afterwards implies those that voted are getting paid.

The crypto industry threw massive financial support behind Trump, betting that his election would lead to more favorable policies for cryptocurrencies. And Gensler is probably on his way out…good riddance!
Whew! Maybe we can breathe a little bit now.

The usual impotent cry of "moving to Canada", where even Trudeau has reduced immigration for 2025. Housing is very expensive there (both rent and ownership), which includes rising NIMBYism among factors like excessive bureaucratic stipulations and levies/taxes impeding the speed of construction and development.
'Moving to Canada' spike after US election result https://www.newsweek.com/searches-moving...ke-1981179 EXCERPT: Searches for "how to legally move to Canada" were also up 200 percent over the last day, Google Trends showed. Searches about moving to Canada were highest in Vermont, Oregon and Washington, states that voted overwhelmingly for Harris. [...] After Trump won the 2016 election, the Canadian immigration website crashed because of the unprecedented high numbers of traffic. At the time of writing, the website continued to be up and running. [...] However, those wishing to move north might find themselves in a tight spot, as Canada is due to cut the number of immigrants it allows next year. On October 24, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced that in 2025, Canada would reduce the number of permanent immigrants from 500,000 to 395,000, a 21 percent decrease. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Canada: Unaffordable housing & rent scaring people away? https://www.scivillage.com/thread-15846-...ml#pid6377 EXCERPT: Who wants to spend nearly $2 million on a small home like this? The polling this time wasn't as terrible as I expected, so long as we ignored who they said was leading by how much, which was all over the map. They were off in their predictions that Trump was unlikely to win the popular vote, which he did rather handily. What they got right was identifying what were safe red states and safe blue states. And they were right in identifying that the famed "blue wall" of elections past (particularly WI, MI and PA) was in play and would be where the election was decided. Which is just what we saw.

You're delusional if you think it was "rigged" for Trump, especially since he handily won the popular vote as well, including with historic minority support for a Republican. On election night, Trump became the first Republican to win Starr County since 1892—breaking a stunning record. The former president won the traditionally blue county, which has a big Hispanic population, with 57 percent of the vote, NewsNation reported. In 2016, Trump lost the county to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who had won Starr County with 79 percent of the vote; in 2020, Joe Biden won the county by a much smaller margin, with 52 percent of the vote. Trump also won in 40% black Baldwin county, Georgia: Former President Donald Trump has flipped a Georgia county red for the first time in 20 years after Democrats saw their margin shrink.

Nice to see the various facets of the Establishment responsibly executing their duties to followers, with respect to crisis scenarios like this.
You can always count on the entertainment industry to provide plenty of despair and over-the-top theatrics -- after all, they're actors and performers. Which is not to slight the academic community -- no doubt the blogs and media accounts there are doing their best to serve up an intellectual buffet of disgust and catastrophic distress, too. But Hollywood is the cat's pajamas when it comes to over-the-top histrionics and towering affectations. Hollywood seethes and mourns Donald Trump's reelection: 'America is done' https://www.msn.com/en-us/tv/celebrity/h...r-AA1tCqvU Hollywood reacts to Donald Trump: Bette Midler deletes X account, Christina Applegate “still reeling and sobbing” and Billie Eilish decries “war on women” https://deadline.com/2024/11/hollywood-r...236168897/ Celebrities react to Trump win https://www.forbes.com/sites/maryroeloff...-on-women/ EXCERPTS: Bette Midler on Wednesday posted a photo threatening to drink a bottle of Drano, a toxic household cleaning chemical, if Trump won... Adam McKay, director of political satire "Don't Look Up," expressed frustration said it was time to "abandon" the Democratic party: “Who would have guessed lying about Biden’s cognitive health for 2 yrs, refusing to do an open convention for a new nominee, never mentioning public healthcare & embracing fracking, the Cheneys & a yr long slaughter of children in Gaza wouldn’t be a winning strategy?” Whoopi Goldberg refused to say Trump's name while on “The View” early Wednesday while co-hosts Sunny Hostin and Joy Behar, respectively, said they were “profoundly disturbed” and “vehemently disagree with the decision that Americans made.” Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy, a Trump supporter, said the Harris campaign's "pure arrogance and their moral superiority" drove voters away and that Democrats spent the campaign "acting like you're better than us, smarter than us, and, frankly, insulting our intelligence." Actor Kevin McHale posted of the Trump victory: “Supreme Court gone for the rest of my lifetime. Ultra-conservative evangelical bigotry, xenophobia, racism is the mandate.” Jamie Lee Curtis encouraged Harris supporters to continue to "fight against tyranny, one day at a time" and said Trump's victory means a "sure return to a more restrictive, some fear draconian time." Actor John Cusack wrote: “The fact that the country would choose to destroy itself by voting in a convicted felon rapist and Nazi is a sign of deep nihilism. To put it mildly.” |
