EXCERPT: Dagestan... this is a republic in the Russian Federation. Next to it is Chechnya, so you know Dagestan is in a very turbulent area. Dagestani people and Chechen people are one of the only people in Russia who are Muslim and they're very hot blooded and temperamental.

Dagestan is becoming the most problematic area for Russians, because they are protesting. The heaviest physical clashes with the police have been happening there for a few days now.

I will read you a part of the letter the protesters sent to the mobilization offices. Protesters in Dagestam threatened to block federal highways and railways in the region if all of those detained that political rallies are not released from the police within an hour...

Unfortunately, an unarmed population can't really cause enough rebellion trouble for Vlad to distract his military from Ukraine. Plus, as the narrator mentioned, Russia's operation has already drained the able-bodied men from the region. The Kremlin has apparently neutered the ethnic portions of the Federation so much (compared to a couple of decades ago), that they're incapable of taking significant advantage of Russia's weakened condition.

Meanwhile, Russian conscripts get a lecture from a female noncom about what they need to bring from home. Sleeping bags and pads, plus first aid supplies. She warns them that all the army will provide them is uniforms and body armor, all the rest of their supplies have already gone out to the troops.

She also advises the men to bring tampons because tampons absorb blood, so if they are shot, stick a tampon in the bullet wound and it will swell. Old Russian army trick from the Chechen war. She says "medical treatment?" and makes a dismissive sound, and tells them they will have to take care of themselves.

News this morning is that there have been three powerful explosions at the Nordstream-2 Pipeline under the Baltic Sea near the Danish island of Bornholm. The pipeline operator has reported that the pressure in the pipeline has dropped from 105 to 7 bar.

Suspicion is naturally that the Russians sabotaged it. Of course the question then is why didn't they just shut off the flow at their end. Why all the theatrics? My guess is that if/when Europe is cold and dark this winter, Russia will say 'It wasn't us!' and blame NATO for cutting the pipeline as a sanctions-on-Russia thing. (There are already voices in Europe suggesting that the US did it.)

Putin will be delivering a speech at the Russian Parliament on Friday, and the British Defense Ministry thinks that he might announce the annexation of the territories that Russia currently occupies in Ukraine. The British think that Putin needs something to boost his domestic support after the recent defeats on the battlefield and widespread concern about the mobilization measures which much of the Russian public perceives as heavy-handed and botched. So Putin hopes that expanding Russia will appeal to Russians' patriotism.

Denys and RU's vids have already been reporting a Ukrainian offensive push east across the Oskil, and here's a confirming map from Militaryland.net (who I consider very reliable).

The Ukrainians tried a direct assault on Lyman (bottom of the map) but the Russians rushed in reinforcements and pushed them out. So instead of beating their heads against the Russians in Lyman and Drobysheve, the Ukrainians attacked to the north, taking Lozove and pushing east from there. They are verified to have taken Ridkodub and are moving east. It remains to be seen whether this can turn into a full encirclement of the Russians in Lyman. (I kind of doubt it at this point.)

BBC reporter is reporting that the preliminary results of Russia's Ukraine referendum have been announced. 97% in favor of joining Russia in Kherson oblast, 98% in Zaporizhzhia, 98% in Donetsk and 98% in Luhansk.

(Looks to me like Joe Biden might have loaned Vladimir Putin some of his vote-counting workers.)

The Ukrainian offensive east of the Oskil is having considerable success. Here's an updated map from Militaryland.net. Compare it to the one in the post above. The Ukrainians have completed taking Nove and appear to have turned south to get in position to attack Lyman from the rear. The supply road to the north appears to have been cut.

So what are we going to see next? The Russians pulling out of Drobysheve and Lyman? Their position is starting to look increasingly untenable. (RU's videos have been predicting exactly this. I thought they were over optimistic, but perhaps I was wrong.)

we can see by the information & videos coming out of russia that the military is not issuing basic needs.
specifically winter uniforms which they will need along with more food and cooking & heating devices.

they simply dont have them so soldiers will need to start fires to prevent themselves from freezing to death.

the corruption inside the russian military has probably stolen all the budget money that would have been spent on keeping a stock pile of winter uniforms.

they dont even have basic first aid supply's for their new recruits or in the field.
i guess all the first aid supply budget money was also stolen.

when winter hits Orcs will be frozen into locations which will be easy targets for Artillery
Orcs will be faced with staying where they are to prevent them from freezing to death and be killed by artillery or to surrender & face 10 years in prison in russia
or
if they are a member of Wagner they will be executed by wagner for surrendering.

Russian media have announced results of the referendum

News agencies run by the pro-Kremlin administrations in Donetsk and Luhansk are reporting that up to 99.23% of people voted in favour of joining Russia - a high percentage that would be unusual in a vote of this nature.

so they are really pushing the narrative out into fantasy level stuff.
