The Russian administration of the Kherson oblast has announced a partial evacuation of civilians from the west bank of the Dnipro river, including the oblast capital of Kherson city. The reason given is a Ukrainian attack expected to be coming soon. They also worry about destruction of the Khakovka dam, which would result in catastrophic flooding down river towards Kherson city.

Translation of the announcement

A different translation. This one specifies that the evacuation will be voluntary.

"You all know that Ukraine has declared an all-out, uncompromising war on Russia, on all of us. [...] There is an immediate danger of flooding of territories due to planned attempts to destroy the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant dam..."

More like they'll blast the dam, as punishment for the "Russian people" who stay behind because they still believe they're Ukrainians.

The Dirty Orcs cant supply their own soldiers AND the Kerch bridge is out for trucks so they are running low on food & supply's
The Dirty Orcs will want to put their convicts & conscripts into the city but wont want the war tourist Russians to see or have contact with them.

Crimea has been the playground for russian psychopathic war sympathizers and now its running out of all supplys.

As much as I feel sympathy towards Ukraine I can’t let videos showing small Russian units or individual soldiers being destroyed or captured lead me to believe the Russians are kaput. I doubt very much if I’m ever going to see videos of Russian successes on the battlefield. I understand the passion of some people and where their loyalties lie. Sure I cheer for the underdog Ukrainians but in the same breath, it seems impossible that they win nearly every skirmish or always make the better decisions. People who have control of one of the more powerful countries on Earth are suddenly unable to defend it, I find that difficult to accept. Am I going to wake up one morning and hear Ukraine has fallen? I expect that more than the other way around. I’m in a position where I wait for the dust to settle.

I must say however….The one video of the drone blowing the head off a soldier in the trenches could be used by Russians for same purpose. I mean there’s no way for me to say exactly who was killed, Russian or Ukrainian. Not sure what I was supposed to think by watching it. Poor kid, no matter who’s side you’re on.

Ukrainian tank absolutely brutalizes a poor defenseless UAZ "Bukhanka" (it means 'loaf of bread' for obvious reasons) twitter-wits dubbed "scooby-doo vans" because they resemble an old VW van from the 60'/70's. (More powerful and rugged though.)

Bukhankas first appeared in 1965 in the Soviet Union and they haven't changed a whole lot since. Auto Week asks why should they? Designed as a 4 wheel drive utility vehicle for use in remote areas with primitive roads, useful for that purpose, and still being manufactured I believe.

The tank driver's head is visible below the canon barrel in front of the turret.

Putzler has declared martial law in ukraine occupied territory but refuses to say what laws will be in place.

Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson

more comments about evacuation of Mykolaiv  starting 7am today

The martial law when you dont want to declare martial law because it will prove russia is losing
Quote:In those regions close to the border with Ukraine, such as Belgorod, Bryansk, Krasnodar and Rostov regions, as well as in annexed Crimea, a "medium level of response" has been declared. Measures include boosting security and public order: the decree also envisages restrictions on the movement of traffic, as well as on entry into and exit from these regions.

militarizing the entire country(militarizing civil society)

Quote:To carry out President Putin's decree, all regional governors have been ordered to set up "operational headquarters". These will include the heads of each region, representatives of the military and the police.
