I think that (they would probably never admit this) they see them as a potential source of serious civil disorder that could threaten the stability of the state. So they bend over backwards to avoid anything that might possibily provoke them and their peculiar (in the UK) sensibilities and practices ranging from taking over public streets for ostentatious public prayers to (at the extreme) raping little white girls.

What can be done?

Maybe for starters, halt all illegal immigration (which I'd guess is disproportionately Muslim). The UK Border Force should once again be precisely that, rather than an illegal immigration concierge service. Stop making Britain so desirable for illegal migrants. Stop offering them housing, food, medical and all the other benefits they receive. Make France a more desirable place for them to remain, rather than pushing on to cross the Channel. Start deporting all illegal migrants presently in the UK, perhaps starting with those with criminal records.

Maybe support measures that promote assimilation and oppose policies that encourage cultural separatism. That means eliminating "multiculturalism".

In the above context, though, that would mean that they are actually not much worried at all [response-wise] about the right populists and Tommy Robinson's activist factions. Since the government has no problem demonizing them as the source of problems.

I don't think that they see the British populists to be as serious a threat of social disorder. At least as long as the government can continue demonizing them and excluding them from political life. We see similar strategies in both France (where Marine LePen and the National Rally are excluded) and in Germany (where it's the AfD that's demonized and treated as a domestic threat by the security agencies). Similar things are happening in other European nations as well.

In the British context, that strategy seems (to me) to be doomed to fail, assuming that Britain continues to be a democracy and to hold elections (which isn't 100% certain). The ruling Labour party is bleeding voters at both ends. On the left, its trendy upscale London elites and gender-militants are abandoning it for the Greens. On the right, Labour's traditional socially-conservative working class base are abandoning Labour en-masse for Reform. Meanwhile the Conservatives have totally imploded with their establishment socially 'liberal' voters heading over to the Liberal Democrats and their more numerous traditional conservatives abandoning them for Reform. I don't believe that Labour and the Conservatives are likely to be Britain's two ruling parties in the future. Reform will probably be one of them, and the Liberal Democrats or the Greens will be the other. (Where green will be the Islamic color as well as the environmental.)

Britain is undergoing one of those periodic political upheavals, like Britain last saw when Labour replaced the Liberals in the 1920's. It's happening here in the United States too, where Trump's transformed Republicans are becoming the party of the working and middle classes, and of social conservatism, while the Democrats have abandoned their traditional base and have become the party of alienated racial/cultural minorities, celebrities and post-60's radical social change militants. The Republicans and Democrats will remain the two ruling parties here in the US (I don't expect new parties to break through like in Britain), but neither party looks anything like they once did back in the 20th century.

3rd January 2026..
HRANA reported a cumulative count of 16 fatalities since the beginning of the protests, including one member of government security forces.

Following statements by US President Donald Trump, where he warns Iran that if they shoot protesters, the United States will come to their rescue, Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei responded on 3 [not 13th] January by saying "We will not yield to the enemy", and stating that the "rioters must be put in their place.".. which perhaps explains what happened next

Attacks on the latter make them more extremist and likely convert to the former.  In some respects you could suggest that such attacks means that the schizm that exists in their faith doctrines can lead to bringing them back into the fold of a singular extremist faith.
Really? Belief in the right for a Jewish state to exist is "extremist"? @_@
There's only one, compared to:

There are approximately 50 to 570 Muslim-majority countries worldwide, depending on the source and definitions of "Muslim state". The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) consists of 57 member states, of which 48-49 are Muslim-majority. Approximately 23 to 27 countries explicitly declare Islam as their state religion.

Quote:The same of course could be said for other religions (apply the same rational to Muslims, you have some that are extremists and others that are not.  If the latter are attacked it stirs up more extremist rationalities.)
Zionists do not commit terrorist attacks, nor attack other countries unprovoked.
The moral equivalence you're making is ignorant and immoral.

Quote:The fix for the UK would actually be to just boot out all Jews and all Muslims, send them all packing.  Wash are hands of their continued debacle.  Far simpler in method than trying to skirt around the problems and trying to tiptoe through a minefield of bombshells waiting to explode.
Again with the moral equivalence. If you don't know who the violent aggressors are, in your own country, you're willfully ignorant or immoral.
Punishing the victims is immoral.

I couldn't give a rats asse Syne. Quite frankly Human rights has been eroded by all parties involved, what soft leftist shit you are trying to spin I couldn't give a fig about.

Yes, because you're immoral. You lack the moral clarity to tell the difference between the willful and blatant human rights violations over decades, and those unintentional and incidental to defensive wars. IOW, you're just a run of the mill antisemite, playing whataboutism to justify your conspiratorial hatred.

Syne Wrote:Based on reports from April 2024, London's Metropolitan Police apologized after officers threatened to arrest an "openly Jewish" man, Gideon Falter, for being near a pro-Palestinian march, suggesting his presence was "provocative" and could incite a reaction from protesters.

Turns out he's almost certainly the same Gideon Falter .. director of J.N.F.CHARITABLE TRUST.

Quote:The JNF has faced numerous criticisms for its role in the displacement of Palestinian Bedouins,[8][9] the construction of Israeli military installations,[10] the construction of Israeli settlements in the West Bank—considered illegal under international law,[10] and its refusal to lease to non-Jews,

That just is what what it is. Then..
He's seen crossing a pro-Palestine demonstration wearing a kippah (a sign of reverence for God and Jewish identity).. so 'openly Jewish' would seem to be fair comment. He also happens to have a film crew with him. And he wants to cross back through the line of the demonstration .. we don't know how many times he's already done this .. when he indicates his 'need' to cross through the demonstration (again) the police offer to escort him to his destination by another route .. when Falter indicates his only 'need' is to cross the demonstration (again) - with his film crew .. the police threaten to arrest him for intent to cause a breach of the peace.
The police later apologised because (I suspect) they didn't want to waste any more time on a pos like Falter.

So you're excusing limiting his right to move freely because those Muslims might attack him.
Just more blaming the victim. If Muslims are so easily incited, they don't belong in Western civilization.

But most leftists do seem to want the whole world to devolve to third-world conditions.

It's crazy how much leftists cherry-pick to avoid huge swaths of the argument. They just pretend arguments they can't rebut just never happened, like good little sheep.

Interesting spin on a pos trying to cause a breach of the peace - and failing. There may have been other lunatics at the demonstration - the police were only filmed dealing with one wearing a kippah.

After watching Falter for 60 seconds .. I'd be well pleased to see him fuck off to the promised land.
For Syne's benefit -- when an English policeman asks you to do something - you do it. They may not always be right - doesn't matter - they're English police and (if you're English) that's enough.

Yes, sheep should do as they're told, even if that violates your rights, runs cover for violent people slowly taking over your country, etc.. 9_9
There's good reason most the world sees British men as fops.

As a mark of respect for Falter's actions..
Somewhere, in a police notebook, it says "Do not try to prevent Falter being attacked".
