The problem with such designs is if you need to use the toilet, or worse case scenario the "alarm" malfunctions and a person is say riding the tube(subway) or in a concert environment. It's more likely to be a nuisance to the wearer than stop potential assailants.

Why aren't these rapists being arrested? This is the solution? Just let rapists roam wild and the girls/women have to...find their own means of protection?

I think martial arts/rape prevention training is a better idea, for anyone.
