Nah, nix what I wrote below. I'm going to play it loose and insanely dangerous instead: okra plant.
Because of what seemed a straight, tall stalk it was initially sunflower that crossed my mind. But it didn't fit either with those "other" flowers exhibited and the rest likewise seemed too close and plentiful. Though it's been quite awhile since I personally had one to inspect; and none of those were ever feeding well from a rich compost pile, manure heap, etc. At any rate, let's get that one out of the way, too: Sunflower.

I didnt thank this little plant that came up in the compost pile had enuff growin season left to bloom... but it was a perty plant so i let it grow anyway... an behold... it survived 3 light frosts... an on Nov. 1 at 10 feet tall it was in full bloom.!!!

Heres some of last years... i had about 17 that was 12 feet tall.!!!
