The local seniors here that are 65 and older are getting their second shots, with other age groups receiving their first. Started up before Joe was inaugurated, though, so no credit there.

Syne seems to be channelling Trump - unfortunately neither of them know what 'per capita' means.

Are you just a sad little troll, or are you really an illiterate moron?

You have to be a complete imbecile or trolling twerp to claim someone explicitly talking about population and per capita doesn't know what the latter means.

But since you never seem to be able to manage to actually refute anything, it seems these little trolling posts are all you can manage. Why even bother? Is it fun to make claims you know to be false? Or are you just too stupid to realize how dumb they make yourself sound?

@Syne
I seldom bother to refute anything you say because it is pointless and frequently depressing.
Sometimes you make very good points so I do read your posts.

On this occasion:

In reality, collectively, they have much lower  CO2 emissions than the US but the emissions per person are indeed slightly higher than for individuals in the US. You write: "Canada and Australia have higher CO2 emissions so ner to you.". This ner doesn't work with China because the CO2 emission per individual is about half that of of individuals in the US, no matter, you follow with: "China has over a billion more people than the US .. and twice the CO2 emission tonnage than the US so ner to you again.".

You seem aware that the two ners are contradictory which leads to the third ner - nothing has anything to do with anything so ner to you yet again. Trump reduced the US CO2 output in 1963 so ner ...

Syne Wrote:So until we quit relying on coal for power generation, electric vehicles will only cause more pollution [ner?].

Ah, the excuses of the intellectually lazy. But then, that's why you're an ignorant leftist.

Hey, just because you're a trolling little cunt, who projects your own petty little "ners" on others, doesn't mean anything of the sort was implied.
And if you weren't so intellectually lazy, you would be able to follow a very simple argument with no contradictions at all. Here, I'll spell it out for you, simpleton.

- You're the one who initially wanted to compare CO2 emissions per capita.
- I obliged by comparing the per capita emissions of Canada and Australia, which you're now hypocritically whining about.
- I did so to specifically point out the problem with comparing countries on a per capita basis, which you now hypocritically seem to agree with.
- Hence me going on to compare emission tonnage instead, which is a better reflection of a country's climate policies than per capita is of an individual citizen's pollution or national policies.
- The reduction in emissions, in tonnage, has more impact on the global climate than percentage of reduction.

If you weren't such a willful idiot, you'd understand such a simple line of reasoning. But instead, you seem to think you're on a playground with other children thumbing their noses at you. When in reality, you just can't follow an adult's argument.

Then quit blathering, moron.

So a country with with the highest per capita CO2 footprint (like Australia) has better policies (Kangaroos tits policy) than .. I'm dealing with an idiot aren't I?

Yes, you're the idiot, and sadly, you have to deal with yourself every day.

If your per capita emissions are higher than the US, which has second highest in tonnage, and you're 7th and 14th in the world by tonnage, an argument can be made that you have bad policies too, but not solely on a per capita basis. Again, if you want to argue per capita, like you initially did, Canada and Australia are worse than US...and way worse than even China (starting to see how moronic that argument is yet?). If you want to take into account tonnage, as the actual impact on the climate, China is far worse than the US.

But I'm not surprise you can't understand these simple arguments. Now go play and leave the adults to discuss adult things.

Is it only me or does Biden seem like he’s being controlled/manipulated? I don’t mean influenced but actually a choreographed, staged performance in the way he behaves, acts, speaks. I’d like to say it’s the left but could it be his own personal entourage or political party? Maybe it’s just nothing but I can’t help but think something ain’t right about the guy.(npi). Even his wife doesn’t appear normal to me, she seems more of a facilitating guide propping him up every step of the way. She must get nervous as hell when he steps in front of the public solo, hoping against hope that he remembers his training. Only so much one can do.

Never had that feeling with Trump. Maybe that’s why I liked the guy, he spoke his mind.

Politically, I don't think that he's really in control of his own political party. So while everyone talks about 'Biden policies', in real life he isn't going to be the one drawing up those policies or setting the agenda.

Who will be setting the course of the country and by extension the world? A whole contending jostling collection of people, ranging from street militants and thugs on one hand, to the faceless spooks in the secret "security" agencies on the other. To say nothing of Congress, both its partisan leadership and celebrity congresspeople like AOC. Plus the social media tech titans, journalists and educators who together try to control your access to information and by extension how you conceive of the world and what you think about it.

We can be pretty sure that when Biden issues a statement, it won't necessarily be because it's something he wants to say, but rather something that the people in the background want him to say.

There's certainly rumors that he's a lot more senile than he appears. Though he did perform reasonably well in the debates, which argues against that. But some of his gaffes have been amazing. (The so-called "journalists" in the establishment media let him get away with them.)

Everyone around Biden seems to cover for him, propping him up, while the same people tried to tear Trump down.

I suspect that we might not see a lot of Biden live events where he has to think fast on his feet. His events will be choreographed and carefully practiced so that he can try to stay on a prepared script.

Quote:Never had that feeling with Trump. Maybe that’s why I liked the guy, he spoke his mind.

Me too. But maybe that was a personal failing with Trump, he would kind of pop off saying things that in retrospect maybe he shouldn't have said. I get the feeling that Trump ignored advice from the kind of people who will be controlling Biden, feeling that he was experienced on TV and had won the 2016 election doing things his way, so he wasn't going to stop now.
