So, if you're a white business owner and lost your source of income due to Covid19...too bad? Why wouldn't a minority business owner have access to resources to rebuild their business, if they were able to gain access to resources to build it in the first place? I'm not against Biden assisting those who have lost so much due to Covid, but there is this idea on the part of some on the left, that if one is white, he/she is coasting through life without hardship. That couldn't be farther from the truth, and I'm concerned that the Biden/Harris administration is seeking to indoctrinate us Westerners to believe this.
President-elect Joe Biden’s administration will make minority and women-owned small businesses their “priority,” his transition team tweeted Sunday.
“Our focus will be on small businesses on Main Street that aren’t wealthy and well-connected, that are facing real economic hardships through no fault of their own,” Biden said during the video.

Maybe you shouldn't have thrown your own vote away. You kind of lost the credibility to complain now.

I'm not complaining...just wondering what everyone thinks about Biden's ''priorities.''
This thread isn't about me. Even if I had voted for Biden, this wouldn't have made me happy in terms of excluding whites who may be in need, too. I'm curious to see if Biden supporters are supportive of everything he has on his agenda.
Why the need for these distinctions between suffering whites and suffering minorities, when it comes to offering financial assistance?

Biden supporters are idiot sheep. The ones who might disagree are either too lazy to pay attention or already #WalkAway. The rest are easily pandered to with anything that seems superficially "nice". Makes them feel like good people to be "nice" playing favorites with other people's tax dollars.
You're the one mentioning your "concerns", so maybe you should have gone to vote with those in mind. Or were you too lazy before you voted?

Hmm, not lazy. Maybe somewhat afraid for want of a better word, of making the ''wrong'' decision. I'd say I'm in the middle with my politics, meaning...I like some Republican policies and some Democrat. On the surface, policies of either ''side'' seem appealing, until you start digging. Really digging.

Yeah, "really digging" is the opposite of lazy. Indecision is still a decision. Throwing a vote away on a candidate who will not win under any circumstances or waiting and hoping things turn out okay without your input are both decisions. In either, I wonder why you're even involved in politics at all. If you're only about the surface appearance, you should be a dedicated Democrat, as that's what their policies are all about. It's also expected for Democrat voters to be uninformed, so no pressure. But if reality and the actual outcomes of policies matter to you, educate yourself. I've posted plenty on that subject here. But then, you seem to prefer "nice" over effective or rational.

I would call the poor white trash, trailer park dwelling, low income, uneducated, gun toting, rabbit hunting confederates a minority and a culture at the same time. Shouldn't their businesses be a priority to receive tax dollars also?
How is a minority defined in the USA?

Not by numbers, as women outnumber men. More along the lines of "sacred cows".

Maybe a better question is...what determines minority status? The narrative on the left seems to suggest that all or most minorities will invariably, come from poverty, or will end up there. It's practically inevitable. This leads to ''the soft bigotry of low expectations.'' Pretending to care about minorities and keeping them down/victimized, clinging to the government. Government assistance should be provided to anyone who is qualified, based on their circumstances due to Covid for example, not based solely on race, gender, religion, or ethnicity.
