As an opening act for next week's DM-2, Japan is about to perform the final launch of their HTV supply capsule to the ISS. They aren't going out of the Space Station resupply business though, they are just switching over to their new and upgraded HTV-X capsule for future missions.

NASA TV will be streaming the launch live starting at 10 AM PDT (1 PM EDT). The launch is set to go at 1:31 PM EDT.

The large and impressive looking rocket on the pad at Tanegashima, a small island south of the main part of Japan. Certainly a big enough rocket to launch a manned vehicle, if the Japanese wanted to build one.

This making apparently nine flights or missions since 2009, before space museum retirement.
